Hawks D gets gouged for FIVE HUNDRED AND NINE YARDS!

509 YARDS!

Yup, shit happens. Watson going to be a good one. Why you focusing on the negative? RW just set a franchise record. Put that up in big letters.

At the end of the day, just win baby.

28 of those yards (against 49ers) also came in OT... and Hasselbeck threw an INT in OT.

Seattle Seahawks at San Diego Chargers - December 29th, 2002 | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Suffice to say this is probably the best QB performance in Seattle franchise history. I think Wilson even knew with that INT that he needed to get time off the clock somehow, and figured he'd let Houston run the ball for us to chew up clock.

Wilson really carried the team this game. Considering the fact that the Seahawks have one of the worst offensive lines in football, I feel like Wilson really doesn't get the respect he deserves.

Considering how poorly the Seahawks ran the ball, it was really impressive that the play action seemed to be so effective against the Texans. Those PA plays were really effective.

I am just shocked, people dressed up as the Hawks D for Halloween and they let them play? LMAO!

Watson has some serious issues with turnovers, but aside from that he was really good in this game. As he matures, those turnover issues will likely begin to become less of a problem the older he gets.

I noticed a LOT this year, how Wilson had slipped out of the 'top tier,' when people are discussing QB's. Given his pressure #'s, and how he passes under pressure, there's no way he shouldn't be included in any list of the top 5 pivots in the league.

But really it's all good, because I'm sure it motivates the F outta' him.

Wilson had a hell of a game. It would have been a shame if it had been spoiled by his late INT. I'm glad he had a chance to erase its impact on the game with a fantastic final drive. This should be the final nail in the coffin for the argument that Wilson can't win a game with his arm if there was still anyone trying to make that argument.

The running game was non-existent and I honestly can't think of any specific thing they can do to fix it except to play better. That goes for the offensive line and the running backs. As clutch as he was today, the Seahawks cannot have a running game that relies entirely on Wilson scrambles to avoid single digit or negative yardage.

The defense was as bad as I've ever seen it in the Carroll era, but they forced some key turnovers and buckled down when they had to late in the game to get the win. Let's hope it was mostly a matchup issue that led them to get torched in the passing game.

Luck RG3 or Wilson who do you want on your team???? I know my answer

Friend of mine pulled up a text from years ago that I sent him where I said Luck and RG3 would be better off early on in their careers, but Wilson would have an overall better career.

Can't say I wasn't super proud when he sent me that.

Wilson carried the team on this one.

Any doubt that Wilson is an elite QB should be dispelled by now.

Great win...Red Zone still has me really concerned. My son and I joke as long as its outside the red zone on first down we will score a TD. Inside the 20... FG all the way.....What gives? :heh:

These guys didn't give up and that's a heart of a champion. This is a type of game that can really spring board a team in believing they can win any game despite some holes on the team.

There are a couple of things I can take away from the game today
1) Sherman and Thomas got burned badly on some plays today. We are not used to seeing that because it is very rare. I partially have to tip my cap to Watson, Hopkins & Fuller for playing an outstanding game but it was worrisome to see E.T. fooled so badly. I also hope that hammy injury isn't too bad. They both baited Watson into a pick though so that helps ease the sting.
2)The running game was horrible yet again. Granted, the Texans have a solid run D but it's run into the line, run into the line, play after play and no holes whatsoever. I have no idea what the solution is but something has to give and they can't keep heaping everything on Wilson's back. And I don't think a RB is any solution either. There seems to be no creativity in the blocking schemes to make holes to run through. We've seen flashes from time to time but no consistency.

I guess in the end I'm happy the team won and it was a damn entertaining game to watch so onward to next week and drive us all crazy again. Cheers fellas. :suds:

PS. As for Graham, yeah he caught the game winning TD but it was the only thing he did all day. It was also a completely busted coverage by the Texans. Seriously, I can't watch the guy play the game. He frustrates me no end. Frankly, I was very nearly in shock that he didn't drop that pass, the useless fuck.

Chancellor looked horrible today as well... The entire Legion of Boom did not have a good day, that is for sure... Chancellor had his ankles broken a few times... He was a big reason Hopkins went for a 72 yard TD in that 4th quarter...

I felt Bevell called a great game today... The OL didn't do a bad job in pass pro... Seemed like RW had time to throw quite a bit today...

A rookie QB, who is on fire btw, coming into Seattle is in for a very long day imo... I believe the Hawks D will cool him off w/ an ice cold bath...

Hawks put up 17 pts in the first half...

Hawks win, 30-13

Only thing I was close to getting right was a hawks win, which is the most important... :D
