He will be very soon with the numbers he's putting up.

OKC had 47 wins last year which is just 5 more wins than the Bucks of last season who were without their #2 and #3 players for a majority of the year including the postseason. Bucks look like the second best team in the East without their #2 right now who won't be back for another month or so.

You're working hard here, and there's a non-zero chance you're right. And I have no doubt there's an MVP or two in his future. But it wont be this year.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to ESPN when asked how he's improved the most in his five years in the league: "I think my mentality. The way I approach the game. The way I approach just a simple practice. That's my mentality. I take this more serious. I'm not taking this for granted no more. I think my rookie I was just having fun. I was 18 and I was living the American dream. Now, I think it's like, it's time to like work hard and achieve goals and do whatever it takes for your team to win. So I think my mentality has changed since my rookie year."

This is why KD said this baaaad man can become the GOAT if he wants to. He was just fooling around his rookie year and then he started trying after that and took over the league.

Right now only KD, LBJ, Kawhi, and RW have better odds to win the MVP this year. Those were the odds before opening day. I'm pretty sure after week one Vegas will have him in the top three. Not working hard since Giannis dominating is doing all the work for me.

I understand what you're saying about doing it for a period of time. However, all of those players are severely flawed in comparison to Giannis with exception of LBJ who is just not as good due to being on the decline at 33 years old but still elite obviously. KD is just great at the jump shot from anywhere on the court and is long and tall. However, his one on one defense is bad, ball handling is ok, and passing and rebounding are both statistically worse than the freak. Westbrook just put up crazy numbers since he's the only player on the team and had the rock for longer than anyone did all last season. He's a volume shooter with low %'s. Kawhi is a great defender and a good offensive player. He gets away with traveling more than 95% of players in the league. Not a dude anyone fears in terms of playing defense against. Harden is one of the worst defenders in the game.

Giannis has no ceiling since we have nobody in the history in the NBA that's close to his overall game of size/skills/athleticism. Dude is the youngest of all the players you mentioned and of all the players you mentioned only one (Kawhi) is still improving. The others are either in their prime or slowly declining. Giannis hasn't even come close to reaching his prime yet at 22 and will have another 5 years before he even starts hitting his prime. IDK how many previous NBA players can say they were the best in the game at 22-23 years old but.

No Giannis hasn't proven for a full season that he is without question the best player in the game. I believe this year will be the year. Statistically last year I had him as the 8th best all around player in the game. However, he looks like he made another huge step from last year (most improved player of the year). My statistical projections of his numbers before the season look to be spot on except he's slightly lower on the blocks and assists but scoring more points and rebounds. He hasn't shown anything from three point land but really hasn't taken many three pointers. My point is that as a pure talent he's the best in the game. However, if I were to judge off of three years of statistics he's obviously not the best. However, it appears that's all changing this season.
Let me stop you RIGHT THERE.

If Kawhi is a "good" offensive player, then Giannis is an AWFUL offensive player. Seriously? Kawhi is elite on BOTH ENDS, not just one. He averaged damn near 50/40/90 (48/38/88 if you wanna see how close) last year and averaged 25.5 points per game, and 28 on 52/45/93 in the playoffs before he went down. He is an incredible three point shooter, he can create his OWN offense, he's great getting to the rim, he has a fantastic midrange game, and not to mention, he shoots damn near 90% from the stripe.

I'm getting pretty tired of casuals saying that Kawhi is only "good" offensively. Watch him play before you make these statements.

Also, the traveling shit is weak. It's a matter of opinion whether or not he travels, and I'm damn sure the other stars get away with it more than he does. LeBron, Durant to name a couple. Every single NBA player travels. Saying he travels more than 95% of players is pretty much saying he gets away with it cause refs love him/the Spurs...which is completely asinine.

Also, I want to see Giannis lock down those guys who are so bad defensively that it puts them below him. If he's so good, his defense damn well better be able to show up their offense.

Bolded: You literally are describing Giannis when talking about Westbrook. Bucks are solid...but it's Giannis and everyone else on that team. It's just him. That's why he's putting up these numbers.

Agreed.

Giannis is very good. Saying he is the "perfect player" while the others are flawed is ridiculous though. Giannis is far from perfect. @Great Dayne is severely overrating his shooting skills and underrating the importance of shooting.

Right now the Bucks look like the team to beat in the East despite not having their second best player.

Greek Freak had a bad game but still ended up with 37 points and 13 rebounds with dunks that should end a couple careers. Bucks won a playoff series without their #2 or #3 players on the team.

Greak Freak will win MVP and this team will win the East.

No they wont, you stupid fucking homer

That's a straw man logical fallacy. I never said he was the perfect player.

3 point shooting is just a bonus but isn't the most important aspect of the game. Both LBJ and MJ proved you can be considered the GOAT with a below average 3 point shot.

Brogdon was rookie of the year. Middleton was 18 ppg in the previous season before the season ending injury, and Parker was a 20 ppg scorer before the season ending injury. They have good depth at pg and Center. Bucks supporting cast this season is miles ahead of the trash Westbrook had to play with last year.

Shawn Kemp wasn't even close to 7 ft tall, didn't play all 5 positions, couldn't pass, rebound, score, dribble or play defense like this baaaad man can. Kemp was mainly a dunker. Nobody said this guy is the GOAT or will be the GOAT. However, seeing the jump he made from 20 to 21 years old and becoming the most improved player of the year and a top ten all around player last year it's obvious with his talent, skills, drive, size and coaching that he has the ability to become the GOAT.

6'10 isn't close to 7' huh? How old are you? Kemp averaged 17/10 a game through his prime and was an athletic freak as I said before.

My Lord the dick riding in this forum. You've seen 2 games in October

Kemp was measured at 6'8" without shoes buddy. I lived in Seattle since 1988 and watched many Sonic's games in the 90s and 00s. Kemp was a great leader and dunker but was a major benefactor from the glove handling the rock. Gianni's doesn't have that luxury and is vastly superior to Kemp at the age of 22 than Kemp in his prime. He wasn't didn't have the ability to create his own shot or facilitate for others like the freak.

17/10/2 is nothing compared to 30/10/7 and this isn't even prime Gianni's yet.

Again, don't hate the player hate the game

LeBron isn't a bad 3 point shooter and MJ played in a different era when very few players shot 3s.

Things are different today. Perimeter players need to be able to shoot. If Jordan were playing today he would shoot a lot more threes too.

Giannis was at 27% last year and James at one point was a 29% three point shooter and is now around 34% every year. So he showed you can improve and he became an average three point shooter which is certainly something Giannis can still develop at just 22 years of age and is still learning how to play at his new height and weight. Don't forget the dude has grown 4 inches and 30 lbs since he first came into the league.

J Kidd Also had a dreadful three point shot when he came into the NBA and became one of the better shooters in the game later in his career. If anyone can guide Giannis to develop his long range shot it's this man.

Sure times change and the game evolves but the fact is Giannis is still dominating the game right now without even taking a three point shot. The game will continue to evolve and he is the trend setter right now.

Yawn, your lack of ability to substantiate your claims while I provide statistical analysis and actually watching the players proves I win. LMAO at anyone who attempts to compare Kemp to Giannis.

Yawn, next please
