They're saying fractured ankle...at least 6 weeks recovery may be longer for the tendons & ligaments to heal.

Oh no. Up close that looks like his entire foot is detached & still in the shoe - only thing keeping them attached is the sock. Goodness - I hope that's not the case - and hope his ankle is in tact.

I believe it's still attached. It's just that it's turning in a different direction - which signifies it's a really serious injury (obviously).
