I didn't understand why Amerson caught CT but then I saw the replay and saw he ran out of gas. While watching the replay for the 4953953535735545803853447 time because it was fun to watch I noticed CT and Long ran out of gas about the same time. Spence was hauling ass though.
Spencer was also hauling aver 100lbs more than CT!

Did you see the stat that they showed about Norman last nt? His opponents completion % over the last year or so is lower than for high profile guys like Sherman. I think that he is way better than he is portrayed in the media - glad to have him on the Redskins.

I didn't see it last night, but @Krusheasy posted the same statsr somewhere around here, I'm thinking early on in the Skins/Raiders game-thread. And I imagine that since what Krush posted was before the Sunday night game. Norman's stat-line only looks better now.

I'm coming around to Josh. Last year he dropped too many INTs and it came back and bit the Skins in the ass a couple times. It happened in the Philly game this year as well on the Eagles initial TD drive. We're not a good enough team to where we can let opportunities get away like that.

The dude is a true shut down corner. I bet they didn't even throw at him more that a couple of times sunday night. Although that might have to start changing. They keep trying to throw at Fuller. That ain't working at so well, either.

Washington opened the scoring with a HB Chris Thompsontouchdown catch from QB Kirk Cousins. They would follow that up with a TE Vernon Davis touchdown catch to go into halftime up 14-0.

The Raiders would get on the scoreboard in the second half, with a TE Jared Cook touchdown catch from QB Derek Carr. They would add a field goal in the fourth quarter, but a WR Josh Doctson touchdown catch and a pair of field goals would give Washington the win, 27-10. With that, we give you our PFF exclusive takeaways from the contest for each team.

TOP 5 GRADES:
S Montae Nicholson, 88.3 overall grade

TE Vernon Davis, 88.2 overall grade

CB Kendall Fuller, 85.8 overall grade

QB Kirk Cousins, 84.1 overall grade

WR Jamsion Crowder, 81.2 overall grade

PERFORMANCES OF NOTE:
HB CHRIS THOMPSON, 80.7 OVERALL GRADE

Thompson showed what a forceful player he can be with the ball in space. Thompson gained 145 yards after the catch against the Raiders, as the Washington screen game was too much for the Raiders to handle. His 8.82 yards per route run was more than three yards higher than the next closest qualifying running back this week.

QB KIRK COUSINS, 84.1 OVERALL GRADE
Cousins was at his best against the Raiders, completing 83.3 percent of his passes, however what made this possible was the dominant performance of the offensive line. Cousins was only pressured 6 times on 32 dropbacks as the offensive line allowed Cousins time to get into a rhythm. He had a perfect 158.3 passer rating when throwing from a clean pocket tonight.

S MONTAE NICHOLSON, 88.3 OVERALL GRADE
Nicholson did not do much in run defense, but he also didn’t need to as the Raiders ran the ball just 13 times on the night and had just one run of ten yards or more. However, Nicholson was impactful in coverage with just one target on 34 cover snaps, which he was able to pick off.

CB KENDALL FULLER, 85.8 OVERALL GRADE
Fuller had a similarly good night in coverage. On 37 snaps in coverage, he was targeted four times. He allowed two catches for a total of 17 yards, intercepted a pass, and allowed a 21.9 passer rating into his coverage. His passer rating allowed into his coverage on the season is now down to a 46.4 rating, nearly 80 points lower than last season.

I haven't been a big Norman fan, but did you see his in the locker room interview? I only saw the tv soundbites and whatnot, but his 'I'm cover 1, cover 2, cover 3 and cover 4.' line had me rollin.

Oh, and Josh Norman has been ballin 900 this year.

Tip of the cap and a hearty Dilly! Dilly! to Josh Norman.

Dilly! Dilly!:suds:

So...best in the league....got it. Now if he could only catch the ball.

Well - he certainly outplayed his predecessor - Amerson - the other nt.

Love this postgame interview w/ Swearinger (love the hat). Along w/ Norman & others he brings something that this defense desperately needed - attitude! Combine it with the efforts of Brown, the renewed effort from Smith, combined excellence from Kerrigan & the attitude that the Alabama players brought w/ them & this just appears to be a much, much improved unit. We will see.

Actually, Amerson played a,pretty good game though based on that PFF grade.

In spots but not entirely. I will grant you that he is playing well overall for the Raiders, but I will take Norman any day of the week over him.
