I guess the easy answer is to remove the playing of the national anthem at sporting events, but I for one just think it's one of the few ways we can hono(u)r the men and women who paid the ultimate price in order for us to have the freedoms that we enjoy today.

We could also do what we see fit and not worry so much about what others are doing. Especially if it's something quiet and non disruptive.

I don't have a problem with that approach, unfortunately that's not the current reality/state of the world today. Whether people officially state their objections or do it more covertly, these type of actions will rub people the wrong way. Just look at what's happened to Kaepernick, there's no way he shouldn't be on a NFL roster today.

Yeah, I know. And it may never have been the state of the world.

Some places have started playing the anthem before the players come out of the locker room. I have to imagine that as more players protest, more teams will start doing this.

This may be a somewhat unpopular opinion, but I'd rather not do the anthems at all, but not because of what it stands for (no pun intended) but rather because I think that it's one of those things that is losing meaning because we do it too much.

People stop paying attention to what it is and what it means. Instead we focus on which celebrity is going to sing it - and put their own lousy spin on it - or how they're going to use it get their home crowd fired up (Rene Rancourt I'm looking at you).

Shouldn't they be trading guys for O Line help?

i think you trade for whats available and there isnt much good oline help available ... they are all in on d ... they acquired an all pro dlineman for a guy who had 41 receptions on his 89 targets last year ... theres no way to shit on this trade even as bad as you may want to lmao
