2. you never know. If KC won the Car and NYG games you can make an argument that he single handedly put us in the playoffs.

3. Lucky at 100mg? that is crazy. An average performance doesn't warrant that type of money IMO.

I don't singlehandedly blame KC for us missing the playoffs. You guys are crowing his ass as the greatest QB in the NFL. I just don't see it yet.

Wrong, we are crowning him better than what we are likely to get and a better option even at 100M than starting over.... again.

Sure if we had won the Carolina game and the N game we are in. But it has also been proven to you 1000 times that had the defense done their job in the Detroit game alone, the NY and Carolina games wouldnt have mattered.

Kirk Cousins has done reached his ceiling it will be very unlikely he gets a long term contract here without a playoff win and even then that's probably unlikely

See this is what i dont get.. if a guy is a consistent top ten performer as a starter, and thats his ceiling... why would you move away from that?? Stafford is marginally better than Cousins, aside from green Bay, the Lions play in a weaker division, and dude just got $92M guaranteed. Maybe because the Lions realized that starting over, or letting the price continue to rise if they were going to keep him was not sound cap management.

Scratch that, I do get it. Kirk just doesnt fit the IDEAL QB for some folks.

So you just point to the defense for the Detriot game but the Carolina, ARi and NYG games don't matter. HA!

You can not justify the 100mg if KC has a bad to average year this year. Simple as that.

Every game matters. But fact, had we won the Detroit game, Carolina, NY and Arizona dont matter because we would have secured the Wild card period. Had the defense held on to win the Bengals game instead of it ending in a tie.. we would have secured the wild card.

I think the defense would have held on in the Detroit game if Dumbass Joe Barry hadn't went into prevent and stayed there that's what lost the game and a big reason he was fired

If he has a bad year no. But if he has another year on average to the years he has had as the starter, you most certainly can.. unless your real desire is simply to go with some one, any one else. You and a few others are expecting and likely hoping he regresses. But seriously, if he throws for 4000+ yards and some where in the range of 25-35 TDs, aside from simply not liking him what valid reason would we have for NOT signing him?

December is crunch time. The big time players usually step up. He did not do that last year. You cant point to the Detroit game when we controlled out destiny in December.

I agree a 4000 yard 30TD season is a good year. If that happens then we should have a good year then its justified. A collapse, or bad year is not justified. No one is routing against him. You still don't understand this.

Actually December is desperation time. Notice that MOST of the division winners were already decided well before week 15. Had the TEAM done their job, december would not have been nearly as crunch time as it turned out to be.

Look at odds of winning.

The Detroit game, I would say that exact situation, we were a 99% chance of winning.

The 35 yarder against Cincinnati, 95% or so.

Those other three games, we were likely a 45-55% chance.

That is why we point to Detroit and Cincinnati.

You can absolutely point at Detroit when that 99% chance of winning alone puts us in the playoffs.

wait the Detroit game was better odds with Stafford having the ball with almost 2 minutes to play vs a 35 yard Fg?

first off dean search engine anywhere you like and you will never find a quote from any of us proclaiming KC is the best qb in the NFL . you are damn lyng and doing your deflection bit .

2nd stafford isnt worth 92 mill GTD anymore then KC is .

3rd the going rate for a qb is what it is . since you cant figure basic economics , that is why you dont get any of it

Less than 2 minutes, no time outs and needing a TD, thats a game we SHOULD have won.

over a 35 yard FG?

All day long and twice on Sunday. All the defense needed to do was prevent a TD. In fact the Lions got the ball on the 25 with 65 seconds left.

Stafford was not worth that much. Not at all. Hall of Fame contract for a decent QB.

When average Abs are making 17-20 million, 27 million doesn't seem like a gross overpay. And as more contracts come up this number will look reasonable, even bargain after Rodgers.

The question is how much guaranteed does the Redskins give KC? My guess is that is what he wants, 5 years 135 million with 75% guaranteed probably gets the job done but will Snyder pay a guy that much without a huge track record?

If Stafford isn't worth that much, Cousins isn't either. I think QBs are waaaay overpaid. No reason why Mike Glennon is making $15 mil a year. No reason why Jay Cutler is making $10 mil this year and I can't see a reason why Stafford is getting paid as much as he is. Barely hanging on to a playoff spot is not worth $135 mil.
