McGregor: 'He will be unconscious inside four rounds'

A cocky, mouthy white guy vs a cocky, mouthy black guy. Over/Under to the start of Race War in America: 24 days

the Irish will beat that dood
my money is on McGregor

Maaan...I remember watching that Holyfirld-Tyson fight when I was a youngin.

Mayweather should win easily.

Once McGregor realizes he can't land a clean punch and is tired of his face being battered by quick counter jabs, he'll get himself disqualified with some ridiculous ufc or mma move. Then they'll be a rematch.

Mayweather is a hell of a boxer technique speaking, but he isn't known for his power. I have no clue what MacGregor can do in a boxing ring, but the dude can take a punch and won't quit. He'll chase Mayweather forever.

I agree Mayweather should take this fight because it's in his house. But I could put some v/cash on Mac if you want some. How's a grand sound?

He's 40 years old.

Does Mac lose points for that? If so, does he get a warning first?

lots of vegas odds. With Mayweather now expecting a knock out, its not his game, so he might be betting on McGregor and take a dive to pay off those 250 million in fines.

The interesting thing I think about this fight is Mayweather is not used to a fighter blocking punches with his elbows and forearms and that might hurt his hands more. Big money bets are that McGregor wont even land a punch with the defense of Mayweather and simple points when he counterpunches.

Floyd owes $250 million?

I'm just gonna watch for the highlights on Facebook and the highlights are probably gonna be the whole fight. $100 for at most, 1 round of action just like about 95% of UFC fights and overhyped boxing matches.

Oscar De La Hoya is not impressed:

I just got deja vu and in it McGregor wins. It was a pretty strong deja vu.

i am about to go all in on mcgregor ... who has a link to the hooopla booikie ?

A behind the scenes look at how the fight came to be

McGregor will get dc'd.

If he gets "dc'd" he doesn't get paid. If he doesn't get DQ'd he makes 100+ million.

People who really think he'll let himself get DQ'd are probably the only ones dumber than those that think he has an actual chance.

I can see 2 ways Conor wins this.

1. Floyd takes a dive as someone already said.

2. Floyd gets robbed in a decision. Mayweather's a 40 year old man fighting his last fight. McGregor's in the prime of his career with a lot of upside & he's now the "Money guy" who will probably bring a ton of business to wherever he does most of his fighting.

After a long analization(dafuq"?), I predict Floyd with a decision. Floyd hasnt knocked out anyone in 7 years that was looking at him when he swung. The intriguing part to me is the fact that Nate and Connor essentially boxed for 8 rounds in their two matches. Nate is the naturally much bigger fighter and Connor took that fight walking weight. Floyd weighed at 149, considerably below the limit. To me this signifies a focus on speed and defense. Nate stated that he felt his work to Connors body is what really slowed him down. Nate also recently stated that it wouldn't be as lopsided as people think. Nate has gone toe to toe with some of boxings finest in the gym. And credits Connors ability. Connor showed a vast ability to take hard shots from a much larger fighter. Floyd will not be able to knock out Connor, i feel that's a suckers bet.

What will happen is Connor will be significantly tired especially if he goes up to 170 by the time the fight starts. Floyd spreading rumors about IV's is a petty way of trying to do an early disclaimer. Bottom line is floyd can win and fight Connor again for a bigger payday if Connor proves his worth in the Boxing ring this go around. Connor is absolutely going to put everything on the line. Connor i believe from what i've heard of everyone who has met him and talks about him has a incredible belief in himself. Even if it borders delusions. If he takes the Maidana route. And tries to smother Floyd, and even chases him (which happens alot in MMA) he could possibly even hurt Floyd at some point in this fight. I can see it happening.

Connor is crazy enough and proved it to me in the Nate fight that hes willing to get smacked around for his opportunity to give his opponent his hardest shot. Connor will try to box floyd. When he realizes that isnt working he will do his crazy unordothox shit. Connor is NOT AFRAID of Floyd. He wasnt afraid of a guy who hadnt been defeating in 10 years (Aldo). He prepared so fucking well for that fight and is a high IQ fighter i see the same. I feel if there was a right mix in Age, crazy, belief in oneself, and ability, Connor possesses it. The difference is, this is boxing. He will have to by Boxings very nature stand differently. Move differently. React differently. And Floyd will wait until its right to score his points.

Mayweather by decision.

I wouldnt put $5 on McGregor if I was getting 1000-1 odds because he doesnt have a 1 in a 1000 shot. These MMA guys are going to learn the MONUMENTAL difference between the sports. This is a huge pay day for both and they are trying to make a spectacle out of nothing. Its your local high school varsity playing the 96 Bulls.

The only way that happens is if the MMA organization says, "Lose this fight Mayweather and you make MMA a legitimate sport and you will get 15% of the proceeds of every MMA fight for the next 50 years." Mayweather says... "Yeah, I'll take an L for a billion plus". Other than that... it aint happening.

MMA is already a legitimate sport, with fair officiating too I might add.

Mayweather doesn't have a ton of power but you don't need that to stop somebody......to KO somebody you do.....but once McGregor tires (and he is) Mayweather's punches will be taking a toll. IMO, he is gonna be battered and red before it is over. He is gonna be stopped. And I like McGregor.

GSP is correct......McGregor has to "dirty box" Mayweather to have a true shot at winning.

Boxing as a sport has taken an enormous beating in the lead up to this fight. So many people saying McGregor has a chance at boxing, because UFC throws punches too. Like Tom Brady could go pitch a perfect game for the Redsocks because he's so goodvvat throwing the ball. Or Clayton Kershaw could come play QB. Think of how many majors Sidney Crosby is going to win when he starts golfing instead of hockey. Renaldo or whatever soccer fag could come kick a football and win a superbowl for sure. Micheal Phelps can swim fast, he must be great at water polo. Think of how many yards Usain Bolt would have run for in the NFL. And jesus christ, we had better hope those little chinese guys never figure out that you can play tennis without the table. Nobody else will ever win at Wimbldon.

If sports didn't require years of skill you'd just see the best athletes walk in And win everything day 1.

Hell, even Vasyl Lomanchenko who is considered maybe the best amateur boxer of all tinne with several hundred amateur wins and 2 gold medals. He tried fighting a wily veteran boxer for a title belt in his second fight and hge got beat with a bunch of little tricks and smart boxing. And that guy was no Mayweather.

This exibition tonight isn't even going to be interesting.

Mayweather wins by an early TKO or McGregor gets DSQ for trying to put a choke hold on Mayweather.. I bet this will be tough for McGregor not to try to take down Mayweather. The speed of Mayweather and his punch accuracy will frustrate the Irish man. I would love for the upset, just don't think it's possible.
