Romes I'm getting scared.

Somebody is gonna get hurt!

Dude, the shit talking is fucking delicious. All these little kids think they can run amuck just because daddy turned the house over to his oldest boy. The wake up calls are gonna be fantastic.

Call 911 for Backup.

The piggly wiggly thing was pretty good though.

Here
Let me try some of that Nostradomus stuff.

You just hired a guy that's exactly like Mack Brown.
Can beat Oklahoma, but goes on to shit the bed, and you guys called it "backing into a conference championship".

That's exactly what Herman will do.

Did I do that right???

Gee
Lets look to see if there is a common denominator.
Texas Tech
Kansas
Baylor
North Texas
Texas Tech
Bowling Green
West Virginia
Louisiana Tech
Cal
A&M

Every team on that list outside of aTm and WVU are desperate to find any players with talent on offense or defense. Of course they go to the Air Raid to compensate.

Holgerson seems to be getting on track and I don't know what the fuck is Sumlins problem in the SEC.

Nobody is saying that kind of Offense doesn't have it's drawbacks but you seem to think you know what Lincoln Riley will do, and I just don't buy it.

But lets keep thinking that you can see into the future and figure out what Lincoln Riley is going to do, even though his 2 years at Oklahoma has seen him do the opposite of what you are talking about.

PPGA is one of the dumbest metrics in determining how good a defense is. In 2015 OU was 5th in defensive efficiency using that Air Raid attack.

Be smarter.

History is a great predictor of the future. You are just choosing to ignore it. Stoops had a good thing going. He ran the team with a defense minded approach first. Since he did that, he was able to bring in these offensive masterminds and the approach was very successful.

Stoops strongest suit was his ability to see talent in offensive coaches and give them the reigns. Air Raid is such a total approach to football the way Mike Leach taught all these guys that Lincoln Riley would literally be the first to keep defense as any sort priority in the way the team operates. Good luck...

I guess you weren't paying attention since 2008 then.
He brought his brother back, let Venables go to Clemson and we haven't done shit since.

You're thinking of Bob in his first 10 seasons.

Right? I mean, remember when all those threads popped up on the Hoop last year about where Lincoln Riley was gonna go to be the next HC at _________?

:happyshake: Nope, that was Herman but no...no...he's gonna be awesome at Muleshoe U cause this was OU's plan all along, have Stoops quit in early summer and replace him with a dude who aint never even sniffed a HC gig :laugh3::lie:

Yes, points allowed a game is so stupid as to how effective a team is at stopping another team from scoring points. :L

Especially in the context that an Air Raid team is almost never good at defense. Notice I said team, of which the defense is only part of.

The team is absolutely responsible for how many points they give up. Which the goal is to give up as few as possible. Unless they changed the rules of football and I missed it.

Not being efficient, not giving up yards, it's still about points.

Brent had a bad ass defense in 2009. Your offense sucked. Dumbest fucking move Stoops made was letting him go for his dumb ass brother. I'll agree with that. But you know why he did it.
