players.. I can't live on $30+ million

It isn't about that at all.

He market price for Otto freaking Porter is $25 million a year and people are seriously complaining about Curry and Harden making $40 million?

C'mon now. Stars put fans in the seats and are worth far more than $40 million a year to the owners who employ them. It is the role players who get vastly overpaid.

Never said anything to go against this... Just saying... "not being able to live off of x amount of dollars these guys are getting is nuts." that's all.

Why do this so far in advance? What if he shreds a knee a la Shawn Livingston in the next year or two?

As guys get more contracts like this while other vets are forced to take scraps, the player's union will be forced to change things in the next negotiations.

I'm sure they have an insurance policy in case that happens.

I'm all for these guys getting paid but this is getting out of hand. Over 40 million per is way to much for anyone.

There is no such thing as having too much money.

lol @folks saying how much money is too much for these guys to make. They should make every penny they can. If any of us on here were in their position, we'd be trying to get as much as we can too.

Superstar players make their owners far more money than they ever get paid...so in that sense, they are very much underpaid.

The Lakers took a lot of flak for signing Kobe to a 2 year $48 million or whatever it was contract on his last 2 seasons when he was old, injured and a shell of himself. Yet, the Lakers still made far more money from having him on the roster than they paid him.

Owners are trying to make as much profit as they possibly can, why shouldn't players try to get paid as much as they can?

It's not as bad as these CEOs that do a crap job, get canned and get more then that as a severance package.
