Seriously, what is it with Laker fans here hating on Lebron and the Cavs?

why's it always about which team we follow...?

Well for me it's nothing new, I don't hate the Cavs, but I don't like LeBitch one bit. I had respect for him a few years back, but after he did that shit in Boston back in 2010 take his jersey off, and didn't speak to the media. Kids were asking why did he do that? he left poor Mo Williams to answer questions after they lost the series. Straight up disrespected his team.

He was a soar loser and didn't even congratulate the other team. Then he goes on EsPN to host a TV show LeDecision to get attention, and says his taking his bitch ass Leflop talent to Miami to be Wades bitch. You might say "get over it already" I am but since you ask why?, that's my reason.

here's kinda my thought on the matter. what is it with everyone thinking we have to like the guy? bad enough that too many people wanna kiss the fool's dick...

The Kobe/Lebron comparisons twisted their panties up something fierce. Now that it's clear (to everyone but them) that Lebron has surpassed Kobe, they're off the rails.

Exactly. I don't even like basketball, but I'm always amused when I come on the NBA boards and see oodles of Lakers and -- to a somewhat lesser extent -- Heat fans with raging hardons for Lebron.

That's fair.

From my perspective, the most damning thing he did was show up to a 2007 ALDS Yankees @ Indians game wearing a Yankees cap. As if that wasn't enough, when they put him on the jumbotron, he raised his cap and pointed to the Yankees logo. I thought that sucked, but the Indians dry fucked the Yankees that year, so no big deal.

I also thought the way he left Cleveland was pretty misguided. I didn't care that he left the Cavs, but The Decision bit was ridiculous. I think the ranks of the Lebron haters grew significantly that day. He could have left the Cavs and no one outside of NE Ohio would have given a shit - but with that show, he became one of the most vilified sports figures nationwide. Dipshit move.

He's back now and it's good for the city and he was cheering for the Indians last postseason, so whatever.

To me, that's as much of an implication on the NBA as it is to Lebron. Whenever I watch these games, I see a bunch of flopping. Sad. I can't tell which is a bigger quim sport, basketball or soccer.

Any sport where the severity of a foul is judged based on the impact to the player, is going to have a lot of diving.

This is a job for these guy and doing whatever you can to get an advantage is the expectation.

I guess. I played lacrosse and feigning injury would probably you get your ass kicked by your own teammates. For me, I just don't see my dignity as an acceptable cost to pay for winning.

I honestly couldn't care less if you don't like him. There are maybe 10 regular Laker fans that post here. About 7 of them seem to have a dislike of Lebron that ranges from fiery hatred to garden variety dislike. The Lakers play the Cavs twice a year. It just seems strange that Laker fans would be so worked up over him.

But I guess it is all about the Kobe jealousy thing. To each their own. Plenty of players I really dislike for no particularly good reason. I dislike Andrew Luck through no fault of his own.

I'm surprised that so many think this will be a cake walk for the Warriors. They are a very soft team going up against a rough and tumble Cleveland squad that has two players as good or better than anyone on the Warriors team.
It'll be Cavs in 6.

If you were getting paid millions of dollars a year to play the sport, you may consider your dignity to be an acceptable victim.

I don't watch much lacrosse so I can't speak to that. I can tell you that I've seen egregious diving in hockey many many times.

If the NBA, or soccer for that matter, what's to clamp down on simulation then they need to impose retroactive penalties for egregious diving. The English soccer league is allegedly doing that next season. Unless there is a negative repercussion for the player there is no downside for them.

have no clue what "jealousy" has to do with it. never liked him even BEFORE he stepped on an NBA court...

i've acknowledged about a thousand times he's the better player...
