We all know that the OU got their nickname during the early years of their now-annual circle-jerk with that team from Texas. OU came first and hence "won" the title of "Sooners" and Texas got the name "Laters". OU was SOOOO proud that they won anything and so kept their nickname. But, Texas was embarrassed by the loss and changed their name to the Long Horns. And the rest is history!

BTW, What is OU's record vs The Florida Pussies?? The highest scoring offense in the land NEVER LEAD in the game, got held to a measly 373 yards, and scored just 14 points. Bwahahaha!!!
