You could be right on Lynn, but no way Mahomes doesn't get the MVP with the season he had. I think only Peyton Manning had 50+TDs and over 5000 yards passing in a single season. So the kid has done something that's only ever been done once before. I'd be absolutely floored if he didn't win MVP.

I've seen a few in here split the baby in half by giving Mahomes the MVP and Brees the OPOY. Not sure if those two awards can be separated if the MVP is on offense. But if so, I like that compromise. Sentimentally, I'm pulling for Brees, but it's going to be incredibly difficult to not honor a 5000/50 performance that Mahomes gave us.

I just think Brees is close enough and him being an ancient NFL player voters will sway votes his way. If Mahomes wins it I won't have any complaints.
