Assuming that you're referring to the possibility of trading for Samardzija... I agree with the assessment that this would be a bad idea. If anything, you're more likely to get a worse starter for the second half of the season simply due to regression to the mean... and Samardzija's career stats suggest that he would only be a marginal upgrade at best.
Samardzija a marginal upgrade over Jimenez? A huge upgrade if you ask me!
would you have said the same 6 months ago skinz?
here i go again !!! yes i like caleb but him behind the dish waldo is pretty good . if waldo stops nibbling he has no hit stuff . matt the o's pitching would be worse . yes he would add more with his bat but not behind the plate . go ahead and jump . but i do see the britton haters have left the building .Of course not but I was no fan of Ubaldo anyway.

it could be that the pitching coaches showed a little love ! kuddos to buck for going with feldman and hammel last year .Britton is in a role he can thrive in. Kuddo's to Buck for believing in him when he really had no other options.
Looks like now we won't have to worry about either Hammel or Samardzija being on the market.
