Shut out by a guy with a 5+ ERA

It keeps getting worse

Yanks take 2 of 3 this weekend, and it really means very little

This team reminds me of the team that lost to Houston in the one game WC

I see the same thing, limp to the finish line, grab a WC but everyone knows they have no shot in that one game

Just like 2 years ago

So apparently the Mets and Yankees agreed on a deal for Bruce

Alderson went to Wilpon for approval and Wilpon said "no trades with the Yankees"

Many think Alderson will quit over this at seasons end

The Mets took a nothing prospect over 2 "decent prospects" from the Yankees, all because of their insecurity

Not sure, all ive heard is that they were "decent" guys with a shot to play in the bigs at some point, while most would be surprised if this guy they got from the Tribe ever throws a pitch in the majors

I was busting balls on the ALc thread and found this:

At $31MM/yr, Miguel Cabrera is the highest paid position player in the history of baseball. Measured by OPS, he ranks 106th among qualified batters.

Didi Gregorius' SLG% is 100 points better than Miggy's.

The good news for the Tigers is that Miggy's contract lasts for six more seasons, so he's got time to sort this out. . .

I'm going to Busch later this month for the first time. I'm excited to see that park/atmosphere.

Probably because they were nobodies too.

All things considered, I highly doubt the Yankees package for Bruce was better than the Indians.

Well, they were offering 2 prospects, so that alone makes it better, cause most believe the Indians guy will never pitch in the bigs

Not necessarily.

Indians took on Bruce's salary, so cash was part of the package too. Without knowing who the Yankees two prospects were, it's impossible to know what value they might or might not have to the Mets.

Maybe the Indians' prospect and one of the Yankees' prospects canceled each other out, and the Mets thought the $4MM was more valuable than the Yankees second prospect.

rickey henderson never had a 200 hit season. there are 4 other guys in the 3,000 hit club who also never had a 200 hit season.

name them

hint: we saw 2 (maybe 3 depending on age) play. 1 is prehistoric.

I will say that I'm pleased that for once Yankees fans are salty because the Indians got a player they wanted.

Fuck the Yankees.

I like these trivia questions, but I'm horrible at them. I didn't start really following baseball until 2003.
