Baseball can rule that they can play a continuation at a later date. Which to me would be BS, because the rules state 5 innings is an official game.

That is BS, game's official after 4 1/2. Do they have to agree to continue? I know I've seen plenty of games (and a couple this year) that have not continued after they became official and the result stood without resuming.

I agree it would have been BS. If the Yankees are gonna beat the Orioles I would rather do it without some rarely used rule.

Only if the home team has the lead can the game be called after 4 1/2 innings. It'd be 5 innings if the home team is trailing.
