That's effing rediculous. Cannot wait for the season to develop then come back to posts like this one. I'd like to think there'll be a chorus of fans :horn: happy that a couple offensive coaches decided to pursue other opportunities.

Zac Lee had a strong pro day with a 4.61 second 40 yard dash and a 36 inch vertical. Lee joked "but apparently I can't run."

No Zac, you just can't run faster than Taylor. Nor can you throw all that well... So yeah.

Poor Robert Woods. He may never see another live snap at USC.

from Husker Extra
It was Pro Day in Lincoln on Thursday, and every NFL team had at least one representative in attendance.

Many Huskers worked out, including some names who weren't invited to the NFL combine: Zac Lee, Mike McNeill, Anthony West, Adi Kunalic and D.J. Jones to name some.

The data I know (or at least the data I was told):

***Prince Amukamara went through only position drills on Thursday after already testing at the combine. He said he was pleased with where he stands now with the workouts for scouts behind him.

***Niles Paul ran the 40 again despite some saying he shouldn't do it after already posting a time at the combine. But Paul felt he could do a lot better than his 4.53 combine time, and apparently did. Paul says he ran it in an electronically-timed 4.40 seconds on Thursday, which is no doubt impressive.

Paul also posted a 38 1/2-inch vertical leap.

***Alex Henery told reporters he made 12 of 15 field goals at the combine. Before you fall off your chair asking how Henery missed three kicks, you should know the NFL uses the "K ball," which are footballs just out of the box that don't travel as far.

"It's definitely a little bit harder," Henery said of kicking the K ball. "But it's something I've kind of gotten used to. I don't really mind it too bad now. They basically just take (the footballs) out of the box and scrub them down and that's about it."

Today, Henery was typical Henery, making all 11 of the kicks he attempted.

***Zac Lee posted a 36-inch vertical and ran the 40 in 4.62 seconds "Apparently, I can't run," joked Lee, whose running ability drew its share of analysis during his Husker career.

Lee had a pretty good day. Only two footballs hit the ground during his throwing session and one of those was a drop.

"I'm open to any opportunity. I think I'll surprise some people if I get in camp, get in there and compete," Lee said.

He said his arm is 100 percent.

*** Mike McNeill said his 40 time was clocked in the 4.6s.

*** Keith Williams put up 23 consecutive reps of 225 pounds.

*** Eric Hagg had a solid showing. He had run the 40 in 4.63 seconds at the combine. Today he ran it in 4.50 seconds. He also posted a 38-inch vertical.

The thing is about Will Henry, there must have been some reason he didn't play. Its not like our coaches would decline to put the best guy on the field. Maybe he had hands of stone.

I've been a big fan of Will Henry for the whole time he was at UNL. Evry year I'd say, This is going to be Will Henry'sw Year to emerge. And every year .... Crickets.

There must have been some reason he saw almost no PT durng his whole career ant Nebraska. I'm thinkin he either had hands of stone. Or maybe he slept with Shwan Watson's wife. Or daughter.
