Those figures are stupid as they don't reveal who is under contract. If you have $20 million in cap space but 19 free agents whose roster spot needs to be filled is that really better then 6 million with most spots filled?
This figure no doubt includes current contracts to Griffin, Roberts etc. When the expected moves happen it will be a different story.
Breed, I'm betting that since the league year hasn't started that still allots $16M of cap space to Rg3. If Garcon or DJax were cut that would give another 7 or 8M in space back as well. Then there are contracts like Williams/SCherf/Kerrigan that are nearly $20M each that could be reworked.
Was in a rush to get out the door on my last post.
Right now we sit with about $8.5 million before any roll over from last year. We will likely roll about $ million over from last year. So thats $12.5 million. Release Griffin and that adds $16 million. So $28 million or so. Figure a long term deal for Cousins will eat half of that to be on the safe side.. so $14 million or so in cap space before any real work is done.
Figure they will do something with Roberts, Garcon, Jackson and a hand full of others. After Kirk I and a few ey moves I expect they will have around $20 million to work with, give or take a million.
i could go through numerous cuts ETC to get us cap room plus the natural increase in the cap . we dont have anything to really worry about as far as cap space
Once again gentleman. NO need to panic. The largest cap number we have on the books is a guy we are likely going to cut. There are no $20 million dollar cap hits floating out there. The only $10 million dollar range hits we have (for now) Are Williams, Garcon, Jackson. Culliver and Hatcher.
