nope but he would be successful. I think it would be a lot tougher for him to recruit here.

I'm pretty sure we'd be much better. Bama lost 24 games in the 4 years before Saban arrived. It's not as though he was handed an incredible program at the time.

If you plugged him in the same time-frame as Bo has been here, he would have won a couple of titles by now and several conference championships.

That's just a fact.

You're talking about one of the greatest CFB coaches of all time. It's pretty much a no-brainer.

He would if we institute some refined policies, such as but not limited to:

Cutting ships if you don't crack 2 deep.
Make it rain on recruits, players and assistants.
GPA and literacy are no longer requirements.
Install juice vending machines.
Completely ignore 85 ship max by signing 35 per year (see first item)
Have e$pn onsite daily to stoke them, and visa versa

:lame:

If he goes to Nebraska instead of Bama, I think you guys have 1 or two titles and compete every year by now. I say it would be a tad under what he's done here just because of the recruiting area, being surrounded by Georgia, Florida...

Maybe more successful than he was at Michigan State because he's gotten better as a coach.

I don't think he wins 3 of 4 crystal footballs at Nebraska though. Just no way in hell.

Because Tuscaloosa is some kind of oasis? :confused2:

It's warmer there but that's it's only bonus.

Is any school down there (SEC) some sort of oasis? I don't think so. But those are the teams winning all the titles.

They are also the teams pushing the limits of rules.

Just saying Tuscaloosa isn't down on the coast or anything.

 I hear ya. If a kid wanted to have that experience he'd be going to school elsewhere.

Have my suspicions about certain teams breaking a lot of bread too, and otherwise pushing the limits.

We all know what it takes to pull in the big timers every year, **** was doing it while he was here but luckily the ban hammer hit NC instead. Not fingering Bammer here, it's not isolated to just the South, they play the game like everyone else.
