I was reading an article on NFL.com today and they were mentioning the best cities never to hold a super bowl (K.C, D.C, Green Bay, and Chicago were on the list) but London got my curiousity.

How big would a London Super Bowl be?

Nope. It would be big hype, but not going to expand the brand there. It would probably hurt it as all the self entitled writers and media show up. Would just strengthen the stereotype of stupid Americans.

Not until the NFL expands over to London and sees if a team could even be supported for a full 5 years..

Seattle gets shafted because of the "weather" yet somehow London would be South Beach that time of year?

A London Super Bowl is one of Goddell's wet dreams.

The evil part of me actually wishes they would have a London Super Bowl and that it would be enough of a disaster to nail the coffin shut on Goddell's career.

Sounds great. Let's send all that revenue to England. It's not like the U.S. economy is struggling or anything.

I don't see a need to globalize the NFL. Keep it here and don't change a thing.

I am not a fan of the one game a year in Europe and of course the one game my beloved Bills play in Toronto.

The NFL is not struggling at all so I don't see the need. I like Goddell and what he is trying to do to make the league better but this is not it.

They are talking about expanding the NFL outside of the US borders and make it international. Roger Goodell is a fucking idiot.

If they did really want to do this, the first step would be to merge the CFL with the NFL and go from there, but they want to run before they walk.

I don't know if you guys saw this yesterday so I'll post it here.

NFL wants third game, franchise -- maybe Jags? -- in London - CBSSports.com

Jacksonville is going to be playing in London for the next 4 years.

The NFL is going to be developing an international fan base. Why shouldn't it be the Jaguars?" Khan said in December of 2011. "In all honesty, internationally, they don't know the difference between the Jaguars and the Steelers."

And Khan's comments should have been a precursor to the possibility of multiple games featuring one team as well as the Jags playing multiple games overseas.

"I think it would serve Jacksonville well to play a game or two overseas, to get the name Jacksonville out. If you look at some of the international premier league teams, they have a huge fan following overseas in the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the SB is in London by 2020 with a franchise there the following year.

If it were in London, would they have kickoff at midnight in order to get it at 6pm Eastern time?

like that part,as I can see Toronto getting a possible NFL franchise down the road.

Yeah. My guess is that the game would be moved up to a kickoff around 9pm local time which would mean 3pm EST. It sucks for the all day parties but employers would be happy with it.
