I also noticed Langford has played some IF before he transitioned to OF when he went to Florida, most notably 1B!!!

He is a converted catcher. I think he only played OF a couple of years before he was drafted.

Young confirmed that Lorenzen will be in the rotation once ready. Young said that Cody Bradford will make at least one start.

A sixth starter will also be used during the Rangers’ early stretch of 17 games in 17 days.
“Beyond that, we’ll figure it out,” Young said. “And he may stay in the rotation. We’ve got a lot to work here. But Cody has earned the right to start in the rotation.”

Since they had less time off than most other teams a 6 starter rotation (periodically through the season) would be a good thing to give last years pitchers a bit of a break. As long as the long middle relievers can take up the slack it's a good way to ensure they are fresh for the playoffs...

Not a fan of a 6 man rotation. Don't like to see Eovaldi have fewer starts but maybe it will work out.

You can still keep Eovaldi on a regular start rotation and have a 6 man rotation, but given his injury history is rather him miss out on few starts throughout the season than miss 10+ due to being on the DL

I actually thought about keeping him pitch every 5th start and actually typed it then erased it for the same reason you stated in that it might keep him off the DL so I agree completely with what you posted.
