Still thinking about that Marcus Semien knock that gave us the 5-0 lead. The captain came through so appropriately

It was at this point I knew the Rangers were going to take it and my jitters started to turn to joy and relief So awesome
And to see Sewald just have the body language of knowing he gave up another HR. 0 earned runs in the playoffs and we got him in game 1 and 5.

I would pass also. We just won WS without a high dollar pitcher w/TJS and no guarantee he will return as good as he was.
The price tag is just too high. Re-sign Garver and we’ve got a really potent offense with Langford and Carter filling the gap in LF and CF. Eventually the cost of Ohtani would kill this team.

Takes a bit to recover from TJS for sure
Probably have to move a contract to add him.
Has to be an extreme longshot

I think a Texas-Philly World Series would have definitely been a more exciting and meaningful WS. Too bad, Philly blew it.

So can Smith and we don't need both. Also I hope they keep Jankowski as a backup OF.
We don’t really need Duran, Smith or Taveras. We could use Crim, Foscue & Wendzel from the bench to cover substitutions in the infield. And Jankowski for the outfield substitution

Lowe? Yep, I would. He regressed back to just being an above average hitter. He's a nice player but he's close to maxed out.
Duran's only 24 with more power and room for growth.
Duran was hitting good until the league found out he couldn’t stop from swinging at the slider out of the strike zone. He never made a adjustment to show he could either.

If the Rangers resign Monty and 4 or 5 relief pitchers, I don’t see them resigning Garver. Probably will go with Huff or Foscue at DH.

We just have to disagree on Lowe.
That's ok. I can definitely see where you're coming from. I just really like Duran's potential along with some of the young guys like I mentioned before, and since Lowe's trade value should be pretty high this offseason he's a guy that could fetch a major upgrade for the bullpen.
After we (hopefully!) re-sign Monty money should be tight so making trades is likely the best recipe for fixing the pen.
That the bullpen needs better players is something we all agree on, just we have different ideas about how we get there. Hope you're getting to enjoy the championship, bro. Long time coming!

If we trade for 3 or 4 relievers we can sign Garver. Huff may be part of a package for one of those relievers

I like Duran too but he really turned off the staff at a point in the regular season and he ended up sitting for weeks during the end of the season and he was not put on the postseason roster until Adolis went down in WS game 3. I expected him to be on the roster before Josh Smith and Duran sat down on the opposite end of the dugout

I agree and I mean no offense to you, but I’m glad it played out the way it did. Ranger fans just wanted a championship. We needed one bad. More than any other baseball team needed one.

since We have a championship now, we can be more picky about fun matchups and stuff like that.
