The 49ers and Rams are both going through a rough stretch but have the seeds to be good teams down the road. I'd be shocked if the 49ers did not win at least 9 games this year.

The Rams have a lot of young up and coming players and the Cardinals do too but they need a longer term solution at QB.

I think people are being a little short sighted.

Cards will need a franchise QB to be an elite team again. Those guys are a little hard to find and until they find their FQBOTF they wont be too relevant.

The Cardinals will be BETTER in two years, but not sure fear worthy just yet... They are improving, and next season they basically get the equivalent of TWO #1 Draft picks because they get Jonathan Cooper back. (He looks like he is actually going to be something special at guard)

Palmer is a decent 2-3 year Stop Gap, as he works well in Arians offense, and it's now a decent unit.

They still have quite a few holes to address though...

They will be a 5-11 team this year, but scare some teams.

If they continue drafting like they have been, this will not be a problem. It will be intersting for sure, to see who they value in the long run as far as being productive for the money.

Yeah, two of those big salaries will be
Rice and Miller
That's huge money easily replaced.

Luke Willson has looked great so far, Miller is gone after his contract is up. Rice almost definitely isn't worth his contract either with the talent we have at the position on the cheap

Except for Wilson was a third round pick that means his contract is up at the end of next year I believe and Im pretty sure he will want a lot more money then third round pick money. Soon you will dealing with the cap. If your ever going to win its definitely now.

So let Rice and Miller go, then sign out franchise QB to a fair deal. I don't see the problem there.

Well if Joe Flacco is getting paid 20 million how much do you think Wilson can get. If Revis is getting paid 16 Million how much do you think Sherman can get in 2015. Plus if you want to keep Baldwin Thurman or Tate they will want raises. Soon after Chancller and Thomas will be FA and will want raises. Thus why I say if your going to win now within the next two years is the time to do it.

And some teams do it well Steelers and Ravens and Packers are the same way but they are hitting Cap issues because they had to pay them. Its an unfortunate fact of todays NFL the QB position comes at a high price and if you want to keep your guy your gonna have to pay him. Which brings me to the original point with in the next three years you have a chance to win multiple SB while your contracts are low before you have to retool a bit.

We just need to find a franchise QB and our best bet is in this upcoming draft. I think this team could be scary in two years but the Seahawks are still likely the team to beat even though a lot can change in two years.

You guys have a really young fantastic core, but two years is an eternity in the NFL. For my 49ers, it will completely depend on how good of a replacement Tank Carradine and Marcus Lattimore turn out to be for Justin SMith and Frank Gore and how well Baalke uses his 13 picks (and I think like 5 in the first 3 rounds), in this next year's draft.
