Tiger's swing is no longer built to win. Once he really starts feeling it and makes a few putts he can post a good number every now and then. However, he will not be able to post 3-4 good rounds with that swing.

Tiger's swing thoughts:

1) Take it back, but don't pivot;
2) Keep your weight on the left leg so that you can avoid actually having a weight transfer;
3) Make sure that your spine angle is as close to 90 degrees as possible at the top, so that you can perform move #4;
4) Dip violently with the head upon approaching the ball;
5) Then pull up and out of it right at impact to avoid hitting it heavy;
6) Hold on for dear life and chicken wing since you cannot release the clubhead from positions 4 and 5.

Nice job foley. Looks great.:L

Just wait, dude.. Tiger is 38 now. How old were you when you played through it? Man.. I'm 34 and don't feel like I did in my 20's thats for sure.

Cry me a river. Wait till you hit your 50s.

Whatever. People are going to believe whatever they want to believe. He needed a 70 to get into a playoff with Reed who was just looking for a reason to gag... bumping it down 18 then still can't get it within 30' from 90 yards out. Top 5 in the world my ass.

Yes. That was disgraceful and I am embarrassed for him but Tiger Woods is "Mr. Saturday" now. He never follows up a good Saturday with a good Sunday anymore. He got smoked again.

Right ...nothing proves that a golfer sucks more then when they win a tournament.

Who said he sucks ? The guy said he thinks he's top 5 in the world. You don't think that's a bit of a stretch ?

I think he's been told by some mental coach of his to think like that and it will help him be like that. I doubt he really believes it. But, hey, a lot of people believe stuff that isn't true with even less to base it on than Reed has. Look at all the Christians in this country. The shit they believe happened is far more ludicrous than Reed believing he is top 5 in the world.

Tiger is my favorite golfer in the world......trust me, I have no reason to bash him.

But the fact is, he is ALWAYS injured.

So let's get real here. Nobody is hurt that much, especially in a sport like golf.

Really? So nobody in other sports (um say Kobe) misses entire seasons due to injuries or maybe even most of multiple seasons (D. Rose)? OK - so you say it should never happen in golf. So there are not other golfers who miss long stretches due to injuries? Don't think so. Playing 72 holes at their level will certainly take its toll especially when they play throughout the year & get older. Just look at all the specialists, products, etc devoted to golf injuries. Forget about Tiger specifically - your premise is way off base.

Nobody in the sports world has the type of UFO injuries that Tiger has.

It's their 1 minute and gone the next.

Excuse me? Have you ever had back problems? Quite often - they appear in this exact manner where things will be fine one minute and terrible the next. So - based on your theory - Tiger faked that grimace in the bunker last weekend? Please. That would take quite a bit of planning and just seems ridiculous. I could give you the fact that perhaps he may have been able to play on certain occasions when he withdrew but big deal - other players do the same.

Some of you guys need to get over your Tiger obsession. I root for him, but if he falters or disappears off the planet - no big deal - life goes on.

What happened to Tigers elbow problem last year? ..or the neck problem that caused him to quit the players?

The timing of his injuries is very suspect.

Yes, that's exactly the way back problems often work. They hit very suddenly. I don't root for Tiger and never have, fwiw. I didn't like the way Nike pushed him on us before he'd done anything against the pros. I didn't like the way he allowed himself to be used by them to push some sort of racial bias angle when the truth of it is he's been famous and catered to since he was a small child and those barriers had been broken by guys who really had it tough before he was born. Then they turned out to be right about his greatness, of course. I don't care for his on course demeanor and behavior. But apparently I'm one of his nut-huggers because I think his physical problems are legit. :noidea:

The elbow problem? Guess it was bad enough to keep him limited to only 5 wins.

He WD'd from the Players 3 years ago... Had a 40th & a win in it since.

It's funny how you left out the 2nd WD.

If Tiger plays bad in a tournament this year ..(misses cut or finishes below 30th ) and they don't have an excuse for it ... I'll eat my hat.

My apologies. You are correct. I had to go back to 2010 to find the other WD. Yeah, 2010 & 11 weren't good ones for him for sure.

What do you mean by "an excuse" ? It happened 5 times last year including twice in majors.
