VanVleet's a 44% 3 point shooter. Early's a 36% 3 point shooter.

But I'm sure you his team better than that "fucking retarded" coach Gregg Marshall, amirite?

Van Vleet was 0-3 from 3 pointer so far in the game. Early was 4-6 and was feeling it. He is also their best player. I think they wanted to go with Early but had to still settle for the next best option.

Refs favored UK down the stretch a bit more....
But, it wasn't egregiously lopsided.

Maybe like a 55-45 edge favoring Kentucky.
That is certainly not some insurmountable officials meddling.

No game is ever 50-50 down the stretch. Referees are humans.
WSU just did not have much experience in close games.

All the late calls going against you are easier to deal with if you have experience in late close games.
WSU was a victim of never playing any late close games.

Early was hot and unstoppable.

I would agree. First of all we have no idea who the play was set up for. Either way Van Vleet is a solid option. He is great 3 pt shooter. Not like a scrub shot it. I dont have the stats, but I would bet Van Vleet is better on the yr than Early

Early should of had the last shot. He was on fire, Van Fleet was cold and in foul trouble.

agreed. Refs did NOT decide this game.

Also agree...and this was a game that it's a shame one team loses. Both gave all they had; especially the Shockers, they were not giving up that 35-0 record without a fight. Very impressive making those 3's down the stretch on tired legs. I thought last night's Oregon/Wisconsin game was great and this one was as good or better.

Kentucky put in a great effort, but you are crazy if you don't think the officiating bias the but-for cause of their win. On at least four occasions they drove to the hoop, extended their arm, and Wichita was inexplicably called for the foul.

The Oregon/Wisconsin game was NOTHING like this. There is NO comparison at all.

Refs didn't decided the game but falling for the Harrison head whip back every time is annoying

i can agree with this, it was just such a great game i wish they would have swallowed the whistle a bit more on some of those late calls that looked questionable to me.

the one on vanfleet comes to mind, refs called fouls for uk just heading inside and it changed the momentum of the game....i got no dog in this hunt but wsu deserved better

VV reached out on his 4th foul pretty easy call. That was with 5 minutes left, so doesnt sound like you have a pkethora of examples down the stretch. As a UK fan I can give examples that did not go UKs way, but it generally comes down to who you were rooting for

A matter of opinion...I thought both were played at a high and inspired level. What's not to like???

It has been like this all year in almost every single game I have watched. They changed the rules this past year where everything is a foul.

They had that one called on Kentucky when Baker was driving to his left and the foul was called initially on Young and then they reviewed it because he was really fouled on the reach in by the other player. Remember that? Baker did the same thing and they actually did blow the whistle when Baker forced his way into Young.

He didn't say it was anything like this. He said it was a good game and he liked this one better.

I hate Kentucky. I hope they lose the next game by forfeit.

WSU did not lose because of the refs.
