it was annoying when teams like San Diego were giving Jeter private cruises on the SS Grande Padre due to his retirement. And the so called hated Red Sox dedicated the national anthem after him, but now Kobe is getting this treatment?

Actually, Kobe is on the 2nd year of his 2 year deal he signed. So, technically he's already been paid but he's doing the right thing and FULFILLING his contract rather than sitting on the bench and cruising the rest of the season.
