far too many CBB games, larger end of the year tournament where you can lose 11-12 games and still get in.

Technically only conference tournament games matter in the regular season as you could go winless in conference yet win your tuorny and youre in the field of 68.

Football >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Basketball in general. The college flavor isn't the issue.

Every game in CFB matters. Every one of them is huge. Can't say the same thing for CBB. Lose 4 in a row there? Can still win it all. Try losing 4 in a row in CFB and finding anything redeeming out of your season.

One and done players ruin the integrity and quality of play in college bball. If guys like Andrew Wiggins had to stay for 3 years, college basketball would be a much better product

I like to play BB more than football, but the regular season bores me to tears in CBB.

March Madness is great though. CBB post season is infinitely better than FBS post season.

??? False. It used to sort of be that way but now people vote based on perceived conference strength and historical tradition more than they do on each teams actual results. I LOVE CFB but to me CBB is way more pure for the simple reason that teams decide their champion on the court. Any "championship" that is handed out based on the opinions of people that I guarantee havent seen even 1/5 of the neccessary games to make an educated decision is inherently flawed.

CBB matters for what, 3 weeks?

:agree: those 3 weeks are the only time i really watch CBB. I might watch part of 3-5 games through the season.

Pretty much everything said here is right. CFB regular season is way way way better than CBB, but CBB has a much more exciting and engaging post season. The overall win goes to football just because the sport itself is so much better in the minds of most people and it isn't even close. At best basketball is the 3rd most popular sport in this country way behind football and baseball. In some markets it might be 5th.

I think its obvious that the regular season is better in CFB and that the postseason is better in CBB so really it kind of depends on what you care about more. I think CFB could be even better with some common sense changes ( like not having a preseason poll in a sport that decides its champion based off of rankings). Now we are headed in the right direction with the "playoff". I think the big reason people love CFB more is the atmosphere. Nothing like joining 80-100K friends in cheering on your team and spending hours partying up beforehand. You just dont really get that with CBB unless its HUGE game ( ie Duke-UNC, MSU-Michigan, Arizona-UCLA etc)

come on.......you are comparing a small court to a big field

might as well compare a race track to a football field

Agree with all. Why don't we just skip the bball season and just start in March?

Yup, nobody cares about basketball until the conference tournament and march madness. You can lose 70% of your games in the season, catch fire at seasons end and go to the tournament.
