Why do teams put stickers on their helmets?

The bold/underlined dealies ^^^. This is something you need to do to provide motivation/focus to very young children who are distracted easily.

We did it in high school, but after that level I don't think you need gimmicks to get you motivated to perform well.

it used to be like 50 teams doing it.
So, its not some great tradition from a few select schools.

It was more like a dumb fad from the 1960s that grew out of favor.
The tradition seems to be more and more teams realizing it is a bit silly.

I think there is only 10 or 11 teams left doing it....
