Why did Miami bother to draft Tua?

I would be annoyed as a dolphins fan how the year before there was all this Tank for Tua talk and now he is in the center of trade talk. Prior to the allegations I was a huge supporter of whatever team giving up whatever the price was for Watson because a 25 year old QB that is an All pro that leads the league in passing without Hopkins is crazy. He is easily worth 3 first round picks I was completely down for trading Russell Wilson to the Bears, the Bears send 3 firsts to Houston and Houston sends Watson to the Seahawks.

The dolphins have to be careful how they manage Tua because all it takes is a 4 interception game that will kill his value. and from what I am understanding he isnt lighting it up at practice he could develop into a star if he had the right pieces but it seems like he could also turn into a bust. Get the sure thing and find a way to get Watson if he can clear his legal problems.

You can’t compare Tua to Rosen. Rosen should’ve been a UDFA.

Tua is better than Rosen.

But that doesn’t make him good.

If Miami thought he was going to be a franchise QB, he would be untradeable for them.

It does not seem that they believe Tua is that player.
