That's what I thought. One thing you won't hear me do is talk about shit before I was even born. So you may want to keep your facts straight. I couldn't care less if UM has the most wins in CFB history. I only care about today.

The closest you will see to an over the top comment from me is calling Harbaugh one of the top 5 coaches in CFB right now. And I'm sure if I looked it up, you'd find many national experts who would say the same thing.

Like I said, you love to play the I never said that card. It's all good though. Everyone knows how much of an over the top homer you are. Maybe if you didn't hug on Jimmy Jam's balls all time pointing out how often you do that wouldn't happen. Oh yeah, funny you'd even use the phrase...keep your facts straight.:laugh3:

Oh really? Okay here are his #'s his 3 years @ Stanford. 1st two under JH & his last year under Shaw...

-2009: 162-288 (56.3%) 2,575 yards 13 TD's & 4 int's
-2010: 263-372 (70.7%) 3,338 / 32 & 8

-2011: 288-404 (71.3%) 3,517 / 37 & 10

Now tell me again how Luck didn't have his best year in college under Shaw.

Seeing as how he was recruited and coached up by Harbaugh. Feel free to continue spewing your stupidity.

What happened to your Jimbo Fisher had a #1 pick comment? Guess you didn't know the guy came to Harbaugh to train before the draft.

Jimbo coached Jameis his entire college career. Jimmy Jam didn't coach Luck his entire career. Of course JH had a hand in what Luck turned into but stop pretending he's the sole reason. And I don't care what Winston did. Now here's something I know you'll remember. I have never said JH isn't a good coach. But you insist on acting as if he's been great on both the NFL & CFB levels. He's good, not great. But you simply will never understand that.

Funny you'd use the word stupidity when you have said over & over what makes Jimmy Jam a great CFB coach is that he played & coached in the NFL.

Here is where we differ on what makes a great football coach. Completely turning around programs and teams at the FCS, FBS and NFL makes you a great coach, IMO.

When you take one team from 1-11 to 11-1 by year 2 and win the first conference title in school history. That is great coaching.

When you take a FBS bottom feeder from 1-11 with an offense and defense ranked at bottom of all CFB to 12-1 and a BCS bowl win in 4 years. That is great coaching.

When you take a team that was 6-10 and hadn't had a winning season in a decade and go 13-3 in year one with Alex Freaking Smith at QB and then somehow make Kaepernick look like a great QB. That is great coaching.

His first year at UM he took a 5 win team and won 10 games. Last year was a disappointment losing 3 games by a total of 5 points, but the QB struggled mightily at the end of the year.

You see -- I look at coaches like Mark Dantonio, Chris Petersen, Gary Patterson, etc. All guys with incomplete resumes -- never won a NC. In your world, those are just good coaches. To me, those are great coaches.

Once you realize CFB is about who can collect the most talent wins -- you will have a better grasp on what makes a football coach great. Lining up 5 star next to 5 star next to 5 star doesn't make you agreat coach. It makes you a great recruiter. I'm more impressed with the coaches bringing in solid players and turning them into elite players.

I can't stand MSU, but I have the utmost respect for Dantonio, because he does more with less than any coach out there. He has turned more players from unknown HS recruit to high NFL pick. That, to me, makes him a great coach.

Singletary built a good SF team. It was a well-disciplined team that was a little young in the backfield. What Harbaugh did was improve the offense a little.

The defense that was good was all Singletary.

So acting like Harbaugh came in and totally rebuilt SF is a pretty much bullshit.

I'm not a SF fan, but I went to a lot of their games during that time period and friends were fans so couldn't help but follow.

I didn't say he built SF from the ground up. The Stanford team was the only one I said that about. I said SF hadn't had a winning season in almost a decade.

That being said -- the first draft pick made after Harbaugh was hired was Aldon Smith. He turned a solid defense into a great defense. He set the NFL record for shortest time to get to 30 sacks (27 games) and most sacks in his first two years in the NFL.

Crying shame Aldon Smith couldn't keep himself out of trouble. He could have been an all-time great if he could've stayed out of his own way.
