The ACC snobishness is strong on this board.

I'm not sure it tops the SEC fball snobs, though. I'm still deciding...

Thoughts?

Maybe if your school was worth a shit, it would be invited to a real conference. Then you could join in on our 'snobishness'.

How was that sweet 16 run back in 1995? How old were you? 6?

Virginia guy ruined this. You people need to learn how to laugh at yourselves a bit. Good grief.

Yeah, thee ACC snobbishness is very, very strong here. It's probably because there's so many of you and you herd together.

I still think it's the SEC fball people. Even after captain Cavalier chimed in.

Do people find ACC basketball fans to be obnoxious? From my experience, at least on this board, the ACC seems to have pretty good fans. I've seen plenty of Cuse supporters say that they aren't a true #1 team this year, and that the ACC is weaker than usual.

This is a no contest IMO. Its SEC football fans all the way. Those guys seem to think CFB only started in 1998 or something. At least ACC BB fans appreciate the tradition and prestige of leagues other than their own and can speak intelligently on other teams in other leagues. I honestly dont know too many SEC football fans that can do the same.

Having grown up in the Big East country... and getting degrees from both schools in the B1G and SEC, I just don't see it.

The SEC issues started back in 2006 when they got taunted non-stop before that OSU game.. and a ton of animosity began after they got crushed and it continued to snow-ball every year the SEC won the NCG.

So, most SEC (even myself) got tired of all the attacks on the teams in our conference (or trying to put the conference down as a whole) and started fighting back. So who is really at fault in those situations? The attacker or defender?

Over the years there were endless threads on topics like SEC weak OOC schedule, afraid to travel, all the bowls are warm weather and they are scared of cold weather in January, they cheat by oversigning and then cutting, they have a lot of players get arrested, etc.

So you can understand the sensitivity some people have around football... and each year the SEC won, it created more and more animosity between the groups.

I don't think basketball is anything as confrontational as football on message boards. One reason is a loss or two in basketball doesn't end your chances for a national title like it does in football. The quicker they get a full playoff with at least 16 or 32 teams... the better. Else the debate will never stop.

I can't argue this.
