Who would you prefer as Romo's Back up?

I'm leaning towards Kellen Moore. I know what happened this year and there is a chance it happens again. If it means we get another pretty good player in FA, then we roll the dice. I would much rather have Moore and A starting caliber player, than Manziel or RG3 and nothing.

What I meant was Moore and draft one in the 4rth or 5 th round. We have had Orton and Kitna before- two good backups. It got us no where. I would rather have a good player and Moore than a player that we hope never sees the field

Did you not watch Moore? Give me a vet on a one year deal, and a 2nd/3rd round Draft pick. Wentz is my choice but I can be sold on Prescott.

Moore was bad, couldn't even throw a screen pass, and against pretty bad teams, he's a 3rd string guy or PS player

I'm sure a rookie could beat out Moore. He has no upside IMO and does not belong on the roster next season, it would be a huge dis service to this team.

Really? Drop off from Romo to those guys was the same as we saw this year to you?
The need for a Backup QB and a QB of the future (ideally, but not necessarily the same guy) grows exponentially each year as Romo gets older and more feeble. If we go into the season with Moore as our backup it better be because we drafted a QB and expect him to be the real backup if need be. Personally I wouldn't even carry him as a #3 next year, but IMO Moore should never start another game for us unless 2 or more QBs go down.

I didn't consider Kirt or Brock because I don't think their teams will let them hit the market. I tried looking at players who I think will except the BU role for a year or two.
