If the Browns don't win this week, that team should be shot. It would be a given they go 0-16. Coming off a bye against a bad and injured Bengals team at home.

I would feel better about that if RG3 wasn't starting. McCown is the only realistic starter on that team IMO, but he has no part in this team's future. Maybe RG3 surprises, but few of his surprises have been positive since his rookie year...

Me too actually. But for now I'm sticking to it.

Let's just assume Griffin gets hurt in the early 2nd quarter and McCown throws 3 TDs in relief.

Reminds me of the Steelers back in 2008 started Byron Leftwich a few times when Ben went down and surprisingly Leftwich had a 104 passer rating for the season which he played in 5 games. Who would have thought?

Leftwich was a decent starter in JAX for several years with not much to throw to.

But to answer your initial question...I really want to wait until week 17 is over because they do have 4 games left...I would not put it past them to beat CIN this week...I don't expect it, but it could happen.

Bottomline...CLE gutted their team... OL, both FS and SS, I think they also lost a LB to FA as well...as of now, I would say CLE, they've had like 4 or 5 different guys start at QB.

McGown...seriously? I've stuck my foot in my mouth for RG3 before so I learned my lesson there, but the kid Kessler has actually performed the best this season for the Browns...two concussions probably put him on the shelf for the duration of this 2016 campaign.

Bucs...man, I lived in Tampa...not during the early expansion years, but they had peaked and were on the decline again. It was real bad down there.

To be fair, they were an expansion team with a full of cast offs...Hugh Green was their top draft pick I think, and he was a helluva player, but they were shut out 5 or 6 times...the closest they got to wining a game was 3pts.

The Browns are just a rudderless ship. How many QBs have they used this year? It's as if they are disposable.

Bad decision after bad decision when it comes to personnel. They will have a big chance to improve in this years draft but I just don't see a sure thing franchise QB and thats what they need.

I'd take the Lions unless the Browns are just totally blown out of the remainder of their schedule. Lions point diff was something like -250 so the Browns need to add about 100 points worth of fail on the rest of their schedule. The advanced metrics also suggest that the Browns are just normal awful and not legendary awful but...there is still time.

Kessler has the better stats this year, but for better or worse he doesn't take many chances throwing downfield IMO. McCown at least threatens the defense a bit more IMO. Of course, I also don't think Kessler should play again this year due to his concussions, but you never know in the NFL.

If Cleveland loses the next 2 games, I say they should be known as the worst team ever.

The 2008 Detroit team was better than their record. They lost something like 9 games by 10 points or less. I was at the Lions/Colts game back in 2008 in Indy and Detroit almost won that game. I remember Calvin Johnson having a great game and to watch him play live was simply impressive.

The Browns blew a 20 point lead to Baltimore and lost 25-20, lost to Miami by 6 in Week 3 and lost to Tennessee by 2 points in week 6 I believe. Those are as close to winning as they got so far.

Why the next 2? They have 4 games left to play.

I think Kessler can be a decent to good starter one day.

...against Cinci, Buffalo, San Diego and Pittsburgh. Certainly seems like this is their last chance for a win, and even that is very slim.

Any given Sunday, my friend. I actually like them against the Chargers whose season will be over. I think we'll see better effort over the next 4 from the Browns. These 4 games are their playoffs.

The Chargers play a 10am game heading East. Never a good sign for WC teams.

I dunno, at least that Lions team had Calvin Johnson.

I guess this Browns team has Joe Thomas, but a left tackle can't really take over a game like a WR.

I was in basic for most of the 2008 season, so I didn't get to see much of that Lions team. This Browns team though, it is the worst I have seen in my lifetime (admittedly, only 27 years).
