Nebraska needed OT to beat 7-5 Missouri, while MI closest game was 15 Iowa. MI also had future HOF and Heisman winner Charles Woodson.

Always liked Nebraska, but MI was 1 that year.

I refer you to this post where Washington State is driving the ball down the field on Michigan to win the Rose Bowl.

Watch the clock at 3 seconds with the referees signaling clock stop. Somehow for three seconds the clock has 3 seconds on it, but then inexplicably, one second ticks off.

Michigan would have lost the game if not for that miracle of a Michigan man running the clock.

I posted plenty of stats in this thread on why Michigan was inferior.

Every opponent of Michigans that went to a bowl game, was beaten. The poll that ranked Michigan #1 only ranked three of their opponents in the final top 25 and only one was in the Top 10.

Yet, Nebraska was ranked #2, had beaten FIVE of the final top 25, top of the top 10, and two of their final ranked opponents won their bowl game.

Just have to read the thread for my stats. There are plenty of them.
