I am behind Trubisky starting the season as the QB, & if he even plays average staying the QB for the whole season.
Let Pickett marinate this season.

If Trubisky turns into a pile of shit & Pickett looks good in practices. Some point in the season make the switch. Hopefully not to early.

I agree they need to see what they got with Trubisky. He could surprise in the right system, IMO.

I actually want trubs to do well for @noonthirtyjoe also. No one gave him
More crap than me. Now im trubs biggest fan

I think the talent is there, but he really needed somebody to give him some flow and consistency to get him some confidence...Nagy didn't do that at all...and I loved crapping on Joe...

If his vision hasnt improved …trubs really struggles to see the whole field. He was a see 1/2 the field guy. Tools have always been there in spades

Kenny Pickett is 24. Played a bunch of years in college. Drafted in rd 1. Start him.

I think you need Trubs and his mobility....the OL is going to be average....at best.

Historically speaking, I think most older 1st round QBs end up starting in year 1. The problem with starting Trubisky is he could luck into an okay season but Steelers probably won't want to commit to him. Just pull off the band-aid and start your future QB imo (assuming he is ready obviously)

I don't think so, with the Oline issues they have I don't believe it's wise to potentially totally ruin Pickett's confidence. At the very least Trubs has seen most of this when he was with the Bears and it will give Pickett the chance to actually learn the O and see the D's on film. There is nothing better than live reps, when you're prepared, and I don't believe he's prepared for that right now.

Start Trubs and you can always go to Pickett if he struggles....and Trubs is signed for 2 years so he'd be back the following season to back up Pickett.

I think Trubs will keep job and play well and they could trade him next off-season and go with Pickett if that is what they want to do.

I say start Pickett. That rookie contract is on the clock so to speak don't waste a year having him sit. Right now the Steelers have good young WRs and RB so let Pickett grow with them, build that chemistry, build that confidence with the team and have the team be confident in him.

Gotta be Trubs, he is better than Mason and a bridge until Pickett is ready.

Trubisky should beat out Rudolph. If he doesn't it will be a disappointment. I think it would be smart to give Pickett another 10 weeks.

I can agree with that. If they are like 3-7 or 4-6 start Pickett.....however, if they are 5-5 or 6-4 stick with Trubs.....

Basically, start Pickett when it looks like they are OUT of the WC race so he has no pressure on him.

Rookie QBs ( that are first round picks) no longer sit on the bench for a year soaking up things by watching, they get thrown in the fire. You learn best by doing not watching and with the advantage of a rookie contract wasting a year just isn’t what teams normally do. Pickens has look good in preseason, the fans want him to start. He will be starting game one.
