When is Notre Dames offense going to be legit again?

Like it was in the Chocolate Charlie days? I thought Kelly was an offensive coach. He has the talent, but can't seem to find a QB. I think that's the only thing holding ND back from being a perennial 10 win team. I think you guys go 10-2, with losses to Michigan and FSU.

I agree no more excuses for Kelly. He has WRs, RBs and a QB who has already made it to a National championship game. I want to see a much better offense.

There are a lot of question marks this season on defense due to injuries and guys leaving for the nfl, but this is the offensive personnel that Kelly has been looking for since he got here. There is no reason this offense can't perform at an extremely high level.

I agree with Irish, I think this is the first time that Kelly actually has the offensive personnel that fits his scheme.

Our backfield is going to be electric this season. Lots of talent back there.

Tommy limited the offense a great deal, they were an 8-9 win team with Tommy because that is the best the guy can do, he just isn't very talented for a division one QB. If Golson had been available last year the offense would have been much different and they probably win 10 or 11 games with the bowl game.

What are you talking about? Many people find Kelly offensive. Bad puns aside, I agree with the overwhelming sentiment here. We expect the offense to be on all cylinders this year. Golson, before his expulsion, was improving greatly. He improved throughout the entire 2012 season and was one of the lone bright spots in the championship game. I think over all our roster depth on both sides of the ball is returning to levels that will allow us to compete. The QB is the most important player on any team but especially in this offense. Rees was just never going to be that guy.

I like the sound of 10-2 with this schedule, but defense is going to have to step up for this to be a reality. I don't like the Mich. prediction. They've seemed to have BK's number (even in 2012 it was a nail biter) but all the drama and calling out by the Mich brass this being the end of the series for a while and it being at home and, historically this game being a bell weather for our season, Kelly had better have this date circled on the calendar.
