Total NFL viewership is down 11% this year. Most of that is coming from prime time match ups. Now, this is the best SNF matchup of the year in terms of popular teams, but considering The Walking Dead beat SNF 4 times last year, I'm going to go with the debate.

I attribute the drop in viewership to Goodell, inept refs that are getting more air time than the players, ridiculos penalty calls and the National Anthem protests?

The only thing I can think of is the over saturation of football, with it being on 4 days a week. The NFL has pushed to far and it's affecting their brand.

The fact some see a presidential debate potentially drawing a bigger audience than a football game as a negative is the bigger issue in my opinion.

I don't need to know anything else about them that I don't already know, easy decision.....

I hear that a lot. But being a football fan I could watch it 7 days a week. At least you'd be able to see teams play beside your local market or the nationally televised games w/o having to buy the NFL package or a twitter feed.

It's more like a reading of National Inquirer headlines than a debate. Trump rambles like a drug addled fool saying pretty much nothing. As much as Chets seem to dislike Clinton, I can't imagine Trump would be a choice, dick that he is.

I'm all in on football, but the Chets will watch the debate....
