What was the best course that you played?

Being from the land of cheese, I am very impressed with the number of quality courses that can be found in this state.

I was fortunate enough to play Erin Hills, both Blackwolf Run courses and The Bull. Played many other fine courses but those and Whistling Straits, are pretty much the cream of the crop

Pinehurst #2 - before the renovation
The Broadmoor East Course in Colorado Springs
Leatherstocking Golf Course in Cooperstown

Wolf Creek was an interesting course

Firestone
are a few that most have heard of that I've played, but none was as spectacular as Old Head.

To respond; In this particular order:

1) Pelican Hill - Fazio course on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific in Newport Beach;

2) Royal Melborne - #1 course in Australia

3) Riviera - kinda speaks for itself

4) The Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills

My grandfather was employed there as an agronomist. He used to get a few rounds there every year. I've played there twice as his guest. I swear, the place has a mystical quality to it.

I've been there a couple of times during practice rounds and was lucky enough to get a badge once for a Thursday round so I know how special that place is.
