Too early, but I wouldn't be quick to say it's total bullshit either yet.
yeah. FWIW, Fangraphs' depth chart projections have them winning 1 more game (at 80-82) than everyone's dark horse (Brewers). the biggest problem is that while the Pirates have been scorng plenty of runs, there's a lot of expected regression though there's a lot of upside in guys like Bell/Polanco/Moran/Meadows (if he gets any real playing time). I don't think it's unreasonable for them to finish around .500, but I have a hard time seeing them doing much better than that.

Yeah, for right now it makes sense to just relax. I haven't watched the Pirates religiously to identify things like swings changing and what not and the data is murky at best right now with the Pirates; so a conservative outlook is the wise take here.

Bucs are playing lucky for the most part. Nothing wrong with that, but hard to sustain.
It's a much better team than some folks thought, namely because they decided the only way they were winning was because of Cole and Cutch -- which wasn't true. I see them hanging in there till early September.

I think the Cardinals have lost the last 4 games I've seen live where their are playing the Pirates so I've just stopped going to those games.

Other than that, I assume the Pirates will come down to .500 at some point but I think the Reds are going to keep any of the other teams from getting too low.

Not a dis on the Reds or anything but they're a mess and I expected them to be a little better.
