My point still stands, if Ohio States passing game is firing on all cylinders, Iowa is in trouble

Agreed. Iowa's DL needs to pressure and contain Barrett. Norm Parker's and Phil Parker's defenses has usually done pretty good containing mobile QBs. I am not worried about Barrett's legs, but am worried about his arm.

Speaking of Matt Campbell....

....he sorta reminds me of a hybrid combo of Adam Sandler and....

...... Barack Obama.

I see a more Vin Diesel than Sandler. But I can see Obama as well.

What are the chances Iowa State becomes the premier college football program in the State of Iowa for the next decade and beyond....as long as Matt Campbell remains with the Cyclones?

Heck.....Ames might become the center of the Iowa universe.....and Cyclones football might actually become more popular than the Iowa State Fair!

Matt Campbell should worry about beating Iowa first . Baby steps

Seeing how Meyer has only lost 2 regular season conference games since he took over at tOSU, I highly doubt Iowa gets tOSU on a hangover.

Iowa is always a difficult place to play, but I highly doubt Ohio State has a "hangover".

I wouldn't be surprised if this is under a 10 point spread.

I'd like Iowa's chances a lot better if it were a night game.

Does it count as being hungover from the Penn St game, if the Buckeyes were already hungover to start the Penn St game?

Ohio State is obviously a far better team. They have an offense and a defense. Iowa has a defense, but no offense.

Iowa's defense gives up yards but they don't give up many points. They actually have allowed less points this season than Ohio State in both the season and vs B1G opponents.

Iowa hasn't faced an offense as good as Ohio State's either. Iowa State might be close and they put up 41 points on Iowa. Penn State is the only other team to crack 20 points, and that was very low scoring for them.

But Ohio State just got the B1G win of the year. They played at home under the lights vs the #2 team. It it was a classic. Now, Iowa has nothing to lose in this game. It is at Kinnick Stadium. They are not a team Ohio State can get too excited about. Could that be a hangover recipe?

need to be able to throw the ball IMO, that run defense is elite and Iowa's running game hasn't been very effective this year. The pass defense is good, but not elite per S&P (24th). They got torched by Mayfield and McSorley was effective against them (not counting Tanner Lee because those two touchdowns came down by 42 even though his stat line was pretty solid), other than that they haven't really faced any teams capable of throwing. Stanley's had a pretty decent year and he played pretty well against PSU and Iowa State.

I think OSU wins (probably by double digits), but -17.5 seems like a bit much.

The secondary has been their biggest weakness on d this year but it has been steadily getting better. Gotta expect a little drop off aftwr losing Holler, Conley, and Lattimore

oh, no doubt. Your defense could be crazy good next year. That front seven is scary enough as it is.

Stanley is not confident enough. He is at least smart when he passes. He has 4 interceptions. His first one came when defender ripped it out of TE's hands and the last one came when it bounced off receiver and the defender made a pretty good play to catch the ball. The one against NW was someone got the route wrong. Stanley threw post route while WR did a curl.

And he audibles a lot to an off-tackle run. I think most of those runs are not either Ferentz calling, but Stanley changing the play.

I can see him putting together a few good drives like he did vs PSU. Iowa's OTs are young and inexperience. OSU's DL will destroy them.

They will lose a lot to the draft again. A lot of talent behind them though

I think that a big part of competing in this game is whether or not Brian Ferentz calls the replay official a cock sucker two weeks in a row.

So I guess there was no chance Iowa got Ohio State on a hangover.

They were still hammered
