I have no doubt Brady and Belichick won't let the Giants derail working on a perfect season AGAIN!!

Early word is that Cannon, Jackson and Vollmer were no shows at the walk through (also Collins). BB may need to add another OT to the roster for the Giants game. There are three currently on the Practice Squad. He might just go with three healthy running backs and fill the open roster spot with an OT.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins, who missed the team's victory on Sunday with an illness, remained out of practice Wednesday.

In addition to Collins, right guard Tre' Jackson (left knee) and offensive tacklesMarcus Cannon (toe) and Sebastian Vollmer (concussion) were held out of practice.

Cornerback Justin Coleman (hand) and safety Duron Harmon (knee) were new additions to the injury report, as they were limited in work.

The Patriots scaled things back and conducted a light walk-through session Wednesday, which was a break from the norm. That was a welcome change to players in the locker room, giving them an extra day to recover physically as the focus was more mental-based work.

The club received some positive news on the injury front as defensive end Jabaal Sheard, who has been out since injuring his ankle Oct. 18 against the Colts, returned to practice for the first time.

The Patriots are likely going to be without OT Sebastian Vollmer (concussion), OT Marcus Cannon (toe), RG Tre’ Jackson (left knee) and LB Jamie Collins (illness) for Sunday’s game against the Giants, as all four players have missed practice throughout the week. The Patriots have just five healthy offensive linemen, which is why their open roster spot is likely to go to an offensive lineman from the practice squad, either second-year player Chris Barker or rookie Blaine Clausell.

17-10 Giants and the Patriots pass coverage just plain sucks. Receivers are wide open and on at least four passes that the Giants have drooped, the Patriot defenders haven't been within 10 yards.

Edelman getting hurt has changed the Patriots approach and they just don't have the back up guys who can play the skill positions.

Pats will be lucky if they don't drop behind by 14 when they kick off to start the second half.

Eli is exposing the secondary - biggest first half ever for him. They are throttling the Pats defensively. The Giants are playing up in a tight man and tackling well. The Giants are collapsing the middle of the OL too much. Skippy needs to adjust

Lot of Brady throwing off his back foot.... not good.

3rd down for the patriots defense wasn't that good on the PI front.. Seemed like every 3rd down they would get called..

Hopefully Edelman isn't hurt as badly as we think and he'll be able to play next weekend

damm, damm close. I thought with edelman going down and the offensive line the Patriots had reached the tipping point. Plus Brady was off tonight and making some bad decisions.

I agree that the Patriots secondary was exposed but they hung there and did just enough. Butler is a really gutsy player.

Eli had 250 yards at the half. 87 came on one play. He had 361 yards for the game. Do the math. Pats pass D did well in the 2nd half. Butler did great on Beckham.

Butler is the real deal. If the Pats can get healthy? I say use every pick next year to get a couple decent other DBs.

Butler had a very strong game. The DPI on him was complete BS and the TD given up was mostly on McCourty. He should have had better help over the top.

Butler is doing great. But the other corners are pretty vulnerable. Who is our CB for slot receivers anyways.

Melvin is covering the slot and he sucks big time. Basically it's Butler on the #1, Logan Ryan on the #2 and Melvin covering the slot. He just isn't an NFL player, that's why the Ravens dumped him.
