I think these last few games will be massively important for determining the Heisman winner now. A big game or two by any of the top guys will likely vault them to the top. This would be a perfect year for a guy like Peppers to win it, where there's no clear cut offensive player.

They don't give the heisman to great running backs on shitty teams.

Although true, it makes no sense. The Heisman is for the best player in college football, a pure individual award. D'Onta Foreman may not be the best player (I haven't seen a lot of games outside of UT), but he's the RB.

Sorry, but no. Foreman is not the best running back.

Who's the leading FBS rusher?

Either that guy from San Diego State or the guy from Boise State...maybe the dude from Wyoming.

No question the greatest backs in football are all coming from the MWC nowadays. Maybe we'll see the first ever three-way tie

I think Curtis Samuel should get some recognition.

I, as a Husky fan, didn't think Browning blew it, he actually never had a chance.
Browning is great at UW, but might be a career backup in the NFL.

Jackson, pretty exciting, not sure. Is he Vick, or is he Mariota?
Peppers, pretty versatile. And Pretty awesome. Better than Hester?
Watson, pretty exciting, not sure. Who is he really?
Browning, Pretty awesome, but in the NW, the wind exposed his arm strength, for the 1st time. no. NO.
Barrett, yup, quality athlete. But better than Jackson?

IMO, It comes down to O versus D.

Jackson is the clear O choice and Peppers the clear D choice.

Enjoy the season football fans...............We love FB.

If anyone is looking at a Husky, it should never have been Browning to begin with. It should've been Ross.

L. Jackson is still going to win it. Won't even be close.
If you watched them, he's looked terrible the last 2 games. And Louisville won't be a playoff team now, so I doubt he's running away with it at this point.

I sorta asked this last night in the L'ville game thread - and no good answer. Which Heisman winners have horrible blowout losses on their regular season resumes?

Nevermind... I think 2001 Eric Crouch might be the winner with a 62-36 loss to Colorado to end the regular season.

No it's for the best player on the best teams, always has been

"The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. The winners of the trophy epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. "

Not seeing anything about "best teams" there.
