Wasn't Manziel A freshman when he won the heisman?
Yep. Redshirt Freshman. Could be wrong, but Hurts would be the first true freshman, (if he does), to win it if I remember right. Peterson finished 2nd as a true freshman one year.

Winston was as well. However, @B_dub's post said it best.

I'm going to assume Jackson put up big numbers last week against Wake, but I was somewhat unimpressed with him. No denying he's been absolutely electric this year, however.

If Adrian Peterson didn't win it, Hurts ain't winning it.
I like Mayfield he actually has better stats than Jackson. But I agree Westbrook may steal votes. I also like what Falk has done at Wazzu .As far as stats and what he has done for the Cougars this season. But I don't see him getting the attention.

You've pretty much gotta, play for USC to win the Heisman out of the P12.

I think Peppers might actually slip in if Michigan win out.
If not depends on how Watson finishes.
If Ohio State goes to the play offs and does well Barrett

I think Browning blew it last week.
Hurt is the sleeper and could sneak in.

Personally I would love to see James Conner of Pitt win it. Beating an injury last year, then cancer and tearing it up this year....no one is more deserving.

Barett isn't even the best candidate on his own team. Peppers hasn't had a statement game. In the two loses vs Wisconsin and Iowa he was literally non existent except Heisman like trash talking.

I looked at the Vegas odds and that's the story right now.

If I had a vote it would go to Conner.

I, as a Husky fan, didn't think Browning blew it, he actually never had a chance.
Browning is great at UW, but might be a career backup in the NFL.

Jackson, pretty exciting, not sure. Is he Vick, or is he Mariota?
Peppers, pretty versatile. And Pretty awesome. Better than Hester?
Watson, pretty exciting, not sure. Who is he really?
Browning, Pretty awesome, but in the NW, the wind exposed his arm strength, for the 1st time. no. NO.
Barrett, yup, quality athlete. But better than Jackson?

IMO, It comes down to O versus D.

Jackson is the clear O choice and Peppers the clear D choice.

Enjoy the season football fans...............We love FB.
