Comcast is NBC, correct? They don’t currently own any comic properties, right?

Yes. Comcast owns NBC and Universal, neither of which has any major comics-originated properties.

Okay, fair point. I didn't consider Hulk since it's such partial rights (standalone distribution) only.
Is that at true? I thought they just came to an agreement with Disney to lend the character over.

Disney better fucking counter offer. Megastudios suck but if we're gonna have one, we should have the one that puts the X-Men in the MCU.

I've always liked having the X-Men characters in their own universe. However, I think that Disney would do a much better job with the Fantastic Four than FOX.

Universal only has standalone distribution rights. Disney has the other three rights (crossover production rights, crossover distribution rights, and standalone production rights), which is why Hulk is in the Avengers movies and Thor: Ragnarok.

Disney has completely fucked up Star Wars on a apocalyptic level and that was considered impossible in most entertainment offices considering how built in the backstory and characters were. But they found a way.

I have zero faith in those running the mouse right now. They're shoving their Cali politics and agenda into every project these days.

Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios are completely separate divisions of Disney. Kevin Feige runs a tight ship and has nothing to do with the mistakes made with Star Wars.

Solo: A Star Wars Story
is a box office disaster, but Avengers: Infinity War is one of the biggest box office hits of all time.

If they would’ve released solo at a better time than around the time Deadpool came out, they would’ve gotten a much better reception.

Mostly had Solo came out before Last Jedi it would have been successful. The Last Jedi killed any buzz for any Star Wars movie to follow.

I don’t think that’s the case. Episode 9 will still make a huge profit. After that, I’m not sure.

I'm sure it will but probably 1/2 of what it should make for being the final real Star Wars movies. There is zero reason the Last Jedi didn't make more money than Infinity War.

I don't really care if they enter the same universe or not really, I just want them under the same Marvel umbrella so we can actually get some good movies. I didn't care for the first 3 X-men movies much (they definitely don't age well). First Class and Days of Future Past were better but Apocolypse was just sort of meh. But even the worst Disney/Marvel movie is better than the best X-Men movie (ok, maybe not Thor Dark World but still). I just trust them to do a much better job with it.

FWIW, Logan and both Deadpools were excellent. Maybe 20th Century just really sucks at ensemble movies
