How am I wrong? Hell Ryan Grant got open enough to get a few TDs.

Better yet...these were Alex’s WRs in 2014.
Dwayne Bowe 2013 had 5 TDs.
Albert Wilson has had 2, w, and 3 TDs in the years following.
Donnie Avery had 2 TDs the year prior.
Jason Avant had 2the year prior and 1the year following.
Junior Hemingway had 2 the year prior.


Are these guys good? nope. Bowe actually was though. Are these guys capable of scoring TDs with a QB willing to throw it to them? Yep. It is a proven fact. Unless you actually believe, not one of these guys was NFL open for a TD. As a matter of fact, this year will be similar if Doctson doesn’t make a huge jump.

It isn't, but at least the Vikings still have the full 3 years from Cousins in front of them for their spent 84 million. Whereas the Redskin on the other hand who are actually the 1st team in NFL history to spend 84 million for 3 years of QB play only have 1 year left with Smith. Cuz like the fuckin dumb asses they are they thought it was somehow prudent to pay a QB they didn't want 44 million over the last 2 years.

Why the facepalm, champ? I agree with you in that an 84 million pay out within 3 years to a single player or position is not a team friendly deal.

I wasn't crazy about the trade, but...I think the benefit is - it took away the QB distraction. We have a good QB who actually wants to be here for the next 4 years. It's somewhat of a breath of fresh air. That and it's hard not to root for Alex. Cousins was a good guy, but Alex has more charisma and I think leadership ability.

Agreed, especially having a QB who wants to be here and is excitedly vocal about it, not just the minimally ‘politically correct’ responses in interviews. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the sour grapes and reason for that on cuz’ side but I think it had reached the point of complete absurdity - sitch was dragging the entire team and fan base into a no win outcome.

Whether this pans out in offensive play or not, we will have to wait and see. But I do think there is some truth to this in terms of what Jay believes (but is not saying explicitly)

I hope this works the way Jay thinks it will. I am ready for someone to slap me on the (_)_) and call me stooped. I do believe that Smith's experience gives him an edge over Cousin's in that respect. I am looking forward to seeing if Smith's added mobility helps the offense also. I think that is possible.
