Game Thread: Week 4: Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos

Well this season has not gotten off the start either franchise had hoped for. Jacksonville has 10 days to prepare for this game which is a bit of an advantage but playing at home is an advantage for the Denver. The mobility and willingness that Gardener Minshew has shown could cause the Broncos trouble, but hopefully they can use the 2.5 games of tape to find a weakness to use against him.

This feels like a game the Broncos should win at home but we will see. Sounds like Janovich may return, but sounds like Wolfe will be out and Jewell may not play either.

I think it’s fair to say that if we lose our season’s pretty much over. If we start 0-4 it’s gonna be a struggle to get to 6-10 which is what we did last year.

Denver has outgained both GB and CHI and put up more yards against CHI than GB did. 2 of the 3 games they have 50+ in rushing attempts + completions ( a key stats BB uses for winning success) . Keep up that trend and eliminate the bonehead turnovers. The young offense needs to learn how to win and the veteran defense needs to figure out Vics scheme and get on the same page.

The Colts last year started out 1-5 and still made the playoffs so it is possible. I agree though that they need to win this one at home. I am hoping that once they get the first one it sparks a run of wins. It feels like they are on the verge of being pretty good, but just need a win to re-enforce that they are a good team and provide a little confidence. The next 3 they should be able to win:
vs Jacksonville
at Los Angeles
vs Tennessee

The Chargers have some weapons but they are not as good as one would have thought. The are 1-2 but should get one this weekend in Miami.

If this team can be 3-3 going into the Thursday night game against the Kansas City that could be a very interesting one considering the short week and at home.

If we keep this up we could be the best 0-16 team around. While I know we won’t go winless if we keep losing if doesn’t matter how good we look if we can’t get the W.

This team will win some games and I think the first may be this weekend. Then going to a Chargers team that is struggling and that one they can win. I don't know that the Titans scare anyone right now so it is possible that they are 3-3 after week 6.

I feel good about the team’s chances to have a breakout game on both sides of the ball. It’s not that I think the Jags are a bad team, I just think the Broncos are not as bad as an 0-3 record would indicate and like I said, poised for a breakout.

I don’t like predicting blowouts but I think the broncos will win this one and control it throughout. Maybe the Jags add a late score to make the final look a little closer than the game actually was.

I’ll say Broncos 26, Jaguars 20.
