And the beat goes on. Week 14 is already upon us. The 10-2 Steelers survived a hard fought DIV game last week. They lost one of their brothers, Ryan Shazier to a serious injury...the team and we Steeler Nation have Ryan on our hearts and in our prayers that he can return to the field. They carry on vs the 7-5 BAL Ravens visit Heinz Field for their annual clash in PIT...The Steelers took the 1st took meeting in BAL in week 4 in convincing fashion 26-9. The Ravens have rediscovered their DEF since that 1st meeting. They have been dominant for the last 6 weeks. This surge really reflects in their current stat line...3rd vs scoring....while the OFC has looked really bad at times, they are a respectable 13th. Injuries...Obviously Shazier (back/spine), and also Matakevich (shoulder) are out...if something changes on Dirty Red I'm sure @FaCe-LeE-uS will catch it. I'm looking for Fort to start opposite VWill at ILB. Mitchell and McDonald were both full participants in practice on the last report I saw...I expect both of them to return. For reinforcements at ILB, the Steelers have re-signed FA...Sean Spence. Outlook...both teams are fighting for playoff seeding...they are a proud group and will not want to be swept. I expect them to come out swinging early. They haven't score more than 20 on the road vs a good DEF this season. They can run it and obviously they still have deep weapons...with Shazier out, will Butler pull back on ILB blitzing? I don't think so, I think he continues to attack with Hilton and VWill. At the end of the day I think it will fall on Haley/Ben and the OFC...IIRC they lost a key DB to suspension or something. You still can't trot out the same plays from the same formation against that DEF. They need to mix it up early...They're not the vaunted pass rush they used to have...Suggs is still doing it, and I see another guy with some sack production...if those guys can be blocked, I think PIT will open it up and make some plays against that secondary and will win another fairly close game to wrap up the DIV. PIT...24-20 What say you?
