Yep....I am one of them, I admit it, and it is nice to know that he's improved......in practice, let's wait and see if it translates into games. .

No harm, no foul. Each year these guys play they learn more and they become smarter in the game. Their physical traits are what they are but they can become smarter players which should make them more effective .... I emphasize SHOULD.

I still say that he is what he's been, and that's pretty good.

You may be right. But more importantly, he is what we got. I say we support him and give him a real chance to take the next step or not. Let's fight our urge to proclaim him elite or a bust for more than a few games (this comment is not directly specifically to you, Sty).

That's the thing @j_y19, as I'm reading all these many posts about Kirk, it's either "HE" won this game or that one and in losses it's....well it's a team game. That ish is unnerving as inevitably we are reminded that QB's get too much credit for wins and too much blame for losses. Maybe a good place to stop with this constant QB foolishness is there.

Specifically, to your point, he is indeed what we have, few if any won't support him. The whole back and forth about him seems to be a how much credit he's due.

Don't agree Sty, most that are pro KC on this forum know it is a team game while those who oppose blame him for his record, for an inability to learn more etc. etc.

Disagree, it's always "He" won and NOT "they" won when talking about the QB here and elsewhere. Maybe it's a language thing, but for those pro and unconvinced KC folks, it's always what he's done or not done. (singularly)

I think it is what you hear. I know if you pay any attention to me I believe the game is a team game. Meanwhile fire Brady for blowing last nights game.

Wow. That is amazing that 2 people can hear the same thing and completely disagree on what was said. I agree with Sportster. Those of us that have been supporting KC have always maintained that the W-L record was a team effort. There have been pages of debate about this with Dean and a few others who have constantly pointed to KC's W-L record as a stat pointing to why he is not worth the money.

Fine, I'll point it out when it happens again, or go back and post quotes.

That's fine. Here is a snippet as an example of this debate

I didn't say all on his own. doesn't show up against good teams. When facing teams with nine wins or more, he is 2-11, and 5-13 against teams with eight victories or more. How can you be happy with that? That is the thing you don't know what will happen so you cant comment on who will be the QB.

I think you were pretty clear there. As long as HE wins. He doesnt show up against good teams. Seems pretty clear you are laying most if not all of what ails this team on the QB.

But hey if HE becomes the primary reason we are winning... well then you dont care what it costs. Got it.

Kirk Cousins win percentage against teams with a .500 record or better is pretty poor

Cousins owns a sub-.500 record as a starter (19-21-1). When facing teams with nine wins or more, he is 2-11, and 5-13 against teams with eight victories or more.

Shouldnt this read THE Redskins record over the last two years though?? Or is it 1 on 53 when we lose a game, but Kirk gets little or no credit when we win a game because the win came against a sub .500 team??

There are pages of this back and forth where Shark and a few others of us were arguing that W_L is a team effort. It's easily searchable.

Shouldn't win/loss records be worse against teams that are winning? Just saying.

I am 100% sure, take every QB with 30+ career starts and you will find out they have a better record against teams below .500 than they do above.

If Wentz outplays Kc Sunday there are issues
So by this logic, Smith clearly outplayed Brady last night. So I guess Smith is a better QB that Brady?

Just trying to clarify if you judge KC on the same terms you judge all QBs. Apparently not. You hold KC to different standards. Ones that seem to shift as situations change.

Why would you compare a 5 time Super bowl Champion? No shifting. I critique him after every game.

So you do use different terms for KC as opposed to others.

Critiquing is fine. Passing a final judgement after every game is what you are implying you are doing.

its not a final judgment. If KC comes out like crap Sunday and Wentz dominates that should raise red flags. Just my opinion.
