Week 1...duh Bears

We'll see what the actual starting O looks like against one of the better Ds in the league. As an added bonus we'll see if the D can get actual pressure against an actual starting O... I guess we'll find out if we have a team or a pile of dog shit real early this year. The only thing that makes me happier than a W against the Bears is a W against the Bears when their fans are getting cocky...so we need this win.

The Bears offense isn’t exactly a juggernaut so if the defense has a lot of problems then I will not expect much this season.

The Packers invested heavily in defense. It is time for Mike Pettine to put up or shut up.

I'm not putting much stock into week 1 for any team. With most starters playing a handful of snaps at best, it's going to take a couple weeks to really see what we've got throughout the whole NFL.

Specifically for the Packers, this is a new offense getting full-contact reps tonight for the FIRST time. I will be surprised if this is anything greater than a 17-20 game with some pretty sloppy play from both sides and the guys in stripes.

Almost game time boys. I'm excited to see how the Smiths perform as well as Darnell Savage, who was basically handed a starting job on the draft stage. Also what is Rashan Gary?

Well, so much for the offense. This is why I prefer the starters to get a bit more playing time in pre season, I’m looking at you Rodgers. So far the O-line looks out matched, not surprised though.

This game was a good battle for the D's...that stated, the Bears really F'd themselves with the penalties after that stupid challenge...ended up at 1st and 40, then had 2 dropped balls...that was the game killer for them IMO. The int in the end zone was icing on the cake, but the Bears have no body to blame but themselves, and the Packer's D did better than I anticipated. That stated, the Packers have a ways to go...

On to next week...

Even on completions packer DBs were all over WRs tonite. We got tons of pressure and didn’t look fooled with all their crazy motion. I love what the defense showed!

On to week 2 against the queens

Considering the circumstances this was a big win (road game against the division champs, NFL opener, 85 Bears in attendance, etc.)

Once they settled in that looked like an actual NFL defense. Week 1 is week 1 though. I'm just glad there didn't seem to be any major injuries.

Not EVERY time but i do admit i do look at the negative side of the team. I cant help it. Its the negative that usually determines why GB doesn't make or leaves early from the playoffs.

Sloppy game from both teams but i will take it as well. A win is a win. I will try my best this season to stay positive but no promises.

Lots of positives on D. It's hard to run against duh Bears, which made things pretty tough on offense.

I expect Lane Taylor to lose his starting job before the season is over. He was terrible last night.
