I think Iowa gets blown out Saturday @ Ohio St. If Iowa's offense scores 20+ points against their #1 defensive unit, I'd consider that a good effort -- even in the loss.
yeah their D is ranked 9th, ours is 15th, we have a better run defense than they do I think...just our offense is ranked 40 or so below theirs, but they have played some tougher teams than we have in Wisconsin and Northwestern, still we always have a shot, any given Saturday
I might be stoned, drunk or both, but I have Iowa winning 24 to 23. I've never been stoned, but if I were, that is the score I think I could drink myself into picking.
By the way, since 2007, Iowa has beaten a BCS opponent in each season...OSU is the only potential(unless they lose the Big 10 title), to Iowa, HA!...so let's go out and keep the streak going...
I think Iowa's passing game will work during this game, at least they will have a handful of successful drives. Ohio State will be able to pass but Iowa will keep them unbalanced. Iowa will do good containing the QB and defend good against short or screen passes.
Rudock will throw 1-2 interceptions (1 might be a pick 6) and one of the running backs will have 100+ mark for Iowa.
I would crap a turd if Iowa won...I can't tell you how awesome that would be to beat these clowns...my sister and brother in law are season ticket holders for tOSU (I'm from Ohio) and we gave up the tickets to watch it at home this year in Florida...it won't happen but I can think that way until 330 pm est on saturday
I hate that stupid t they put on there, tOSU, what a joke...Iowa can beat OSU but it will take some, I read some quotes from players where the MSU game got out of hand cause they stopped worrying about playing as a team, esp on defense and that didn't help. I so want to see Law get his chance.
In any case, I would have to go with 24-13 myself, I think we can contain Miller, he isn't that good of a passer, keep him in the pocket and you will see, he is just a slightly better denard robinson.
I think this will be a better game than people think. Ohio State has to get beat sometime, why not this weekend? Iowa is not as bad as portrayed in this thread and OSU, while very good, is not unbeatable. I'm taking Iowa in a 27-24 upset. GO HAWKS!!!!!!
Ohio St in a blowout. Iowa's RBs will struggle. OSU will give Iowa all the 2-yard dump offs to TEs/3rdWRs/RBs that Rudock can complete. Iowa's special teams struggle. Iowa's defense gets worn down in the 2nd qtr. The game will be over at the half.......then get out of hand in the 2nd half.
