I think a lot of hokie hoops fans guessed that before ever reading it.

BC hasn't impressed, and aren't expected to be very good this year. However, they've been playing better recently. They hung in there against NC State.

What do you all think about our chances to get a win here? If the home crowd can help their confidence this might be one of the more likely chances to get a win. Need a different Hokies team to show up.

One of our (many) main problems is dribble penetration. At the beginning of the year, we were penetrating and shooting/dishing/kicking it out to shooters who would knock down the shot. Also, now we can't stop dribble penetration to save our lives. BC got in the lane at will and either layed it up, dropped it off for a dunk, or kicked it out for open 3's.

If they're going to be this bad, can they atleast borrow some football players to make it interesting defending in the lane? Love the Hokies, but this is hard to watch or even read about.

If anyone was really on the bandwagon, they were suffering from a serious misapprehension.

On the other hand, It isn't unreasonable to believe that the Hokies can play better than they have in the last few games.

Got that W and we battled hard through adversity (some self inflicted). I felt GT was begging us to win the game at points and it looked like we were determined to screw up the opportunities with some bad defensive lapses and some stomach churning offensive decisions. Green was busting his ass for a good while in the 2nd half and the rest of the team looked totally scared to do anything. There were times when guys had shots or space to move and they just said "Oh shit, I don't want this ball. Where's Green?" and we ended up with an awful possession or turnover. Thankfully someone talked some sense into them in the OT where things looked better.

I'm glad we played more 2-3 zone (since we're dreadful in man), but it still needs tightening up. Too often two or more guys are occupying the same spot on the floor around the ball handler and its leading to wide open looks.

Looks like Barksdale has his head on straight after getting benched. Had a double double today. But he (and all our bigs) do something that really annoys me and needs to be corrected. They get open under the hoop and when they catch the ball, they bring it down waste level, gather themselves, and go up. That takes too long. They're getting stripped, blocked, or fouled on what should be an easy 2. Catch high, hold high, and explode for the finish. It needs to be a fluid motion. They're open but the time they're taking is allowing the defense to recover.
